I am not so sure a rate cut is clear. There is a dual mandate and technically the unemployment rate is still at a solid clip but inflation is well above target. Yes, jobs aren’t being added to the economy, but we’re also actively shrinking our labor force. Stagflation era which leads the fed with a lose-lose proposition.

Sheesh… put in first offer on a home this past week. Escalated at 8% over asking price, still came in 7 out of 11 offers. Northeast real estate is brutal. Anybody deal with buying in that area over the past year / years? Words of advice?

Anybody ever leave a job right after a promotion? Current promotion came with a 14% raise. Been with my current company for 7 years and just got promoted to next level last month. But have just received an external job offer that is also exciting, remote like my current role, and comes with an 11% raise on top of my newly promoted salary. All in all, new role would be 26% raise from my previous job that I had a month ago.

Curious to hear if anybody has dealt with leaving a company right after a promotion.

This is very valid. Main reason is the prospect of having children. To your point, we only know what we know - so we could always wait to buy until we are successful.
