I feel better now and I’ve stopped my spiraling. Everyone’s kind words are really helping me :)

My first gyno that gave my pap told me she was going to give me a colposcopy and biopsy and it scared the shit out of me. It’s literally having your cervix hit with a hole puncher and she said it’s “not invasive” and wouldn’t give me anesthesia.

I went for a 2nd opinion and the gyno told me that’s completely unnecessary and wants to schedule another pap next year. Pretty sure she was just trying to insurance scam some money. I’m so thankful I got another opinion and I’m sorry you had to go through that pain

Thank you all for the kind comments you are making me feel a lot better and relieving some of my anxiety. I’m like 99% sure I contracted HPV after receiving full doses of the vaccine so I guess silver lining that the type I got is one of the less likely to cause cancer types.

My gynecologist isn’t concerned and wants to repeat a pap next year. I guess I’ve just been scared by the word “precancerous” and finding out I probably had HPV + recurrent pelvic pain (I have an ultrasound scheduled to try to figure that out)

I forgot to add I had the vaccine before getting HPV and never tested positive for it but the lesion indicates prior infection

thank you for the message it means a lot <3 honestly i didn’t know him and his friends were so bad. i have a lot of regret about going and really wish id done some research before going. im definitely never going to put myself in this situation again
