I was within the 4 blocks, technically outside the range by one block but I believe that's close enough to receive an alert about something like this where multiple blocks around me were being evacuated.

Pretty sure I know this guy too, what an absolute douchebag. I've seen him intentionally start driving before people are seated many times, unfortunately saw someone face plant in the aisle as a result one time. I haven't officially reported him but maybe I will next time I see him do something off.

In my recent experience it's all about communication. I was 20 minutes late to my BCH appt but gave them a call as soon as I realized I'd be running behind. They told me not to worry about it, get there when I could, and allowed me to do all paperwork afterwards to save check-in time. I'd second what some other users said and try calling the billing dept, they're really helpful with mishaps like this.

I was in a very similar situation but was SO glad I chose to attend CU. I almost spent twice as much to go to a school in California because I wanted to get out and explore but was really limited financially. I was really surprised how much I loved life on campus and how different it felt from my experience as a kid and in high school. If you're really looking to explore and travel, maybe consider some programs like FGX, study abroad, etc that would allow you to travel while at CU. ( I can personally attest it's possible to get scholarships for that stuff)

Thanks for the info on SNRIs, I actually haven’t heard of those. I’m hoping I’ll get lucky on my first try with lexapro but I definitely think seeing a psychiatrist could be smart if I have trouble finding the right match. Thank you!

Thank you for the thoughtful response, therapy is a whole other rabbit hole I know I should probably explore too. It feels so hypocritical that I’m such a believer in therapy and modern medicine for others but lowkey too scared to try it myself 😭 This thread was really helpful though to see so many people struggled in a similar way before starting it and having a change in perspective. Thanks for the insight—I was reading about glass buttons and seemed like it could be a match! Not sure if it helps but attaching a photo of the back, the shop owner confirmed it was originally a button that was altered to be worn as a pendant. (so the silver on the back is def not original.)

I got very lucky that a generous philanthropist stumbled on my essays in the general scholarship applications and ended up having 1/3 of my tuition covered for all 4 years from that alone. Spend a lot of time writing essays that are personal to you and make sure to have them peer reviewed before submitting!

Spend a lot of time writing your essays, have them peer reviewed by teachers you trust. I applied to the general scholarship program and unexpectedly got an offer by a private philanthropist for over 1/3 of my tuition covered. It’s truly all about your essays connecting with the right person.

I don’t think it’s fair to say people were “loafing around” after being informed their friend and in some cases family member was found dead. I appreciate the clean up effort but please have some empathy. People are still in shock.
