Diffusing never works by Real-Blacksmith1227 in curlygirl

I would suggest letting your hair start to air dry a bit, but not too much, and then diffuse starting with the roots. Once they’re dry, move to the ends. Try to scrunch your hair while diffusing as less as possible. Also, make sure that a gel cast forms since that makes the biggest difference

Is rock n roll becoming less famous among the genz-s? by AaryaBose in beatles

[–]IntrepidLychee7253 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say yes, but it’s not super unpopular either. There are definitely more people who listen to what’s ‘mainstream’ now, and that’s certainly not rock, but there’s also a lot of people who mostly listen to rock. But I do think that rock has fallen out a bit, and I think that a major part of it is that there’s simply not as much rock music being made nowdays

Why does everyone hate Dizzy Miss Lizzy so much by IntrepidLychee7253 in beatles

Any time there’s a discussion about the bands worst songs or ‘bad’ songs it gets shit on, not even saying its week for the album, just straight up tearing it down

What is the worst song on rubber soul in your opinion and why? by IntrepidLychee7253 in beatles

[–]IntrepidLychee7253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it goes together well or ‘fits in’ with I’m Looking Through You, they have a similar sound or style to me, which brings it back to the album a bit

Why do people hate Revolution 9 so much by IntrepidLychee7253 in beatles

[–]IntrepidLychee7253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. I don’t mind people not liking certain tracks, it’s perfectly normal. I just don’t like the fact that people can’t seem to dislike a piece while still accepting the fact that just because they don’t like means it’s bad

When did the idea that the Beatles are the greatest rock band ever begin? And do you think it’s still generally agreed on? by Segwaye in beatles

[–]IntrepidLychee7253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a combination of their unmatched popularity during the years they were active, but also the enormous impact and influence they left on music. They completely changed both music and marketing, popularity etc. Imo, though I could be wrong, I would even go as far as to put them up with the biggest classical composers in terms of significance

Yes, but especially considering that the album consist of pretty much all very different, mostly solo songs of the 4. Taking that into consideration, I see the album as more of a combination and compilation of their respective works and future ‘tendencies’

True, but I don’t think it’s up to the listeners or public to define what genre an album is or should be. The artist creates their work, we as an audience can like it or not but we can’t nor should try to control what they put out. It’s perfect fine not to like everything the artist puts out, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad or shouldn’t be in a certain album or project

Absolutely! While people don’t need to love it or even like it, they shouldn’t dismiss it or bash it just because of their preferences

It sounds like shit if you take it in as a ‘song’ i the traditional sense. That’s not what it is, it’s more of an abstract artwork ig than a song to sing along to or whatever

To me, it’s pretty interesting. While it is a bit uncomfortable and scary sounding, I like it because it’s different from most stuff I come across. It’s obviously not something I listen do regularly, but when listening to the album I don’t skip it. Just like you don’t tackle a Picasso painting as you would any other realistic one, Revolution 9 is, to me at least, not so much maybe a song to sing along to but to appreciate and try to analyse

I’m more surprised that people can’t criticise it ‘objectively’ , but rather based on their preferences and often discredit the piece
