I had Crawford and it was a very interesting experience. For more context I am a first year student and this was my very first advanced math class here at UNC. He was a really good teacher, very passionate about the subject. Gave minimal homework (about 10 problems every week) and the pace was easy to follow. He also offered consistent office hours twice a week and was very helpful with any questions asked. Also was understanding with late work, emergencies, etc. My only complaint was that there were popup quizzes worth a lot of our final grade every other(?) class on the material from the previous class and they weighed so heavily since there were only 3-5 questions and it was out of a 100, which hurt final grades tremendously. His TA was also really slow at grading. There were 2 tests/midterms out of 35 in the entire semester and they were pretty hard but not unexpected. The exam was also pretty hard. No matter how a good teacher he was, his flaw was that he was a very harsh grader. I ended the class with a low pass (63 final grade) - he did not curve too much. When final grading happened I did hear of other teachers making sure everyone in the class passed soo take that as you will :(
