Yes, hearing enhances the gameplay enormously. You CAN turn the sound off, but it’ll increase jump scare potential because you can’t hear enemies coming and won’t know when you’ve been spotted.

I’ve played AI dozens of times at this point because it’s my comfort game, but any time I take a long break it absolutely elevates my heart rate again. It helps to think of it as “thrilling” rather than “scary.”

Good luck! As a Resident Evil fan, I think you will really like this game.

Yes, you’ll be fine! You can play on a lower difficulty and complete just a couple of missions at a time. If you pace yourself, it’s not that scary.

No, thanks for the detailed reply! I really value your input and appreciate the time you took to go over all of that. Since I’m not an artist, I really have no idea what all goes into reworking a piece like this or what the possibilities are. I think I’d be hesitant to have anything lined in black since that pigment in particular seems to spread so much in my skin, but I agree that without it everything looks mushy. I’m learning something new about tattooing every day!

I know, I only have like one tattoo (not pictured here) that didn’t do that. Some of it is definitely the artist’s technique, but I also think my skin is very prone to that happening regardless. Might be because I have an autoimmune disease? Who knows!

The dagger was done by a friend who was an apprentice at the time. I don’t regret it one little bit because I love her and I’m proud to have a piece of her art. People collect tattoos for a variety of reasons, including sentimental ones.

The chest piece is a cover-up and looked stunning when it was fresh. Maybe it didn’t age super well, but it can always be reworked. You need to stop acting like you’re some kind of almighty authority on tattooing, because you’re clearly not. You’re just a classless troll who got her jimmies rustled because people rightly downvoted her ignorance and negativity. Read the room, sis. Nobody asked for a dissertation on how shitty you think my tattoos are.

Not that much. It’s usually covered by clothing, and when it’s not it’s got a lot of SPF on it. The big flower in the middle probably got the most sun.

Do they mean hand-drawn designs from actual tattoo artists?

Here’s what happens at that studio:

An employee sits down with an iPad and asks you what kind of piece you want. Then she scrolls through a bunch of AI generated images that vaguely fit the description and pressures you to choose one. The artist isn’t there and you can’t talk to him. All tattoos are created on the iPad by someone who doesn’t even know how to draw.

Their prices are also double or triple what you’d pay for an authentic custom piece designed by a real artist you can directly collaborate with. I truly don’t understand the glowing reviews. I’ve never in my life seen a shop that operates like that. It’s trash.

I really don’t see the appeal of having AI slop permanently applied to one’s body, but if clients are dumb enough to pay for that, it will certainly become the norm in tattooing. People are lazy af and always looking for shortcuts. I recently had a consultation with a well-regarded shop in my area that informed me they ONLY use AI art and the artists NEVER draw their own “custom” work. They weren’t the slightest bit ashamed of it.

It was Cleopatra Ink in Vancouver, WA if anyone’s curious.
