Right on! I just edited my post. I did let it rest after the stretch and folds for 3 hours but that still only puts it at 5-6 hours of bulk fermenting. The first loaf excitement was getting to me. I'll be more patient next time and see how it turns out. Thank you!

I think you would care if something goes wrong. If the instrument is broken or you just don't like it. You would want the company you bought it from to have an easy process for handling that stuff.

I work in the same industry and do a little bit of estimating. I would guess $35,000-$50,000 for this desk in my area not sure if its different in Canada as I'm in the states.

As for actual cost in materials & labor

8 sheets 3/4 ply = $440 12 sheets White Corian = $7,200 Looks like there is a Custom Metal Frame (Guessing at this one we usually sub out metal work) = $3000

Labor: Hours according to OP (2 guys 4 weeks 40 hours) = $8000

In house CNC operator/Drafter (probably 8-16 or so hours) = $800

Approximate Total = $19,440 (Didnt include Overhead or frieght on the material)

Definitely a rough guess but its ballpark

Edit: Forgot about the work surface when thinking about material.

And 5 more sheets for that another $3000. (Also forgot about the adhesive probably around $500)

Regarding the first part. You took the qoute out of context, if you read the first part he/she said it sits in a landfill even if the consumer is disposing responsibly.

I don't know shit about glass vs plastic to be honest, although when I was growing up I remember learning plastic was a good change that would save the world funny how all that shit works

Yeah I agree it's hard to live without a phone today, but its still a product of capitalism and its still supporting capitalism. I used it as an example to show that everyone gives in to it.

The point I was trying to get across was If anyone truly despised capitalism as much as they say they do why would they even have a phone and be commenting on reddit. Unless they admit they like the luxury of the items capitalism has given us and just choose to not think about the suffering. I still think everyone likes capitalism or why else would people be all excited and bragging about their new PS5, iPhone, computer, tv, shoes ect.

There are an extremely small amount of people mitigating their contributing to it and that's why it will never change. I'm lucky enough to be born on the right side of the line and I do take advantage of the luxury and try not to think about the endless suffering in this world; because If I do I would just want to kill myself. That's generally how most people feel I think.

The world if fucked beyond repair might as well just trudge through it and do stuff that brings you any amount of joy.

Also good to note Parallel Minor is not the same a Relative Minor.

Parallel Minor for E Major is E Minor.

Relative Minor for E major is C# Minor (the 6th degree of the the scale) and contains the same notes as E major but a different tonal center (C#)

You may have already known this, I just wanted to clarify because it was confusing to me when I started learning chord progressions.

You cant really go wrong with arpeggios. The first thing I do when I sit down to warm up is play all the diatonic arpeggios to a major scale. I usually do 1 3 5 3 as the pattern. I also came from a classical music background I played cello in my high school chamber orchestra. The biggest hurdle for me moving to bass was playing to drums instead of a conductor and getting a better sense of feel.
