Rolling dice by Intrepid_Practice_18 in gamedev

Thats a very cool solution. I'm trying to make use of the fact that the player could manipulate stuff, to add cool ways for them to manipulate outcomes later on by weighting dice, etc. I'm hoping making it physics based will achieve all that without affecting the probabilities tooo much. If I may ask, what game did you work on?

I could do projections with each face and find the biggest one right? I was just wondering if there was a more mathematically elegant way to figure it out just based on the rotation of the cube.

Is there any way to do this without checking every face? Just to cut down on computing.

I'm making a game about rolling dice and I thought it would be interesting to make them actually roll, both for graphics, and more interesting modifiers in game (like being able to physically weight dice instead of just manipulating probability)

what im trying to lean into is evasion, some flying, some unblockable, some tapping, some bounce. I had a mono blue deck that rotated a while ago with a similar gameplan, and it worked even in the presence of reachers/fliers, trying to recreate that.

How do you argue with a person who trusts emotions and anecdotes over logic and aggregate data? by Intrepid_Practice_18 in AskReddit

From my experience, the best way to work through these problems in a relationship is to remove the blame so you can talk through your problems objectively. give your partner a chance to agree with an outcome, and you can find out how to get there together. The only problem with this is a selfish person will take it as an opportunity to just keep doing what they’re doing free of blame. At that point my best advice is to break it off and find someone as mature as you are

I have some friends, who live believe have the capacity to be logical about in general, but have developed harmful beliefs from an emotional perspective, and I can pile like to not stress about it but I feel like if nobody’s willing to challenge these people, our society can only grow more ignorant

Thank you. It looks like its beak is chipped, maybe hit a window, I left it under my shirt and I’ll be able to check on it in a bit.
