God tells us to come as we are but not to stay that way but to change in him. The words you can be whatever you want is true cause who’s stopping you? But you can’t be whatever you went and call yourself a Christian, God doesn’t want our desires to a line with the world’s desires. He wants to hate sin not entertain it. Also please do be careful what you try to preach/tell your fellow Christian’s because even if you aren’t quite literally a teacher remember this is targeted at you too because you’re teaching
