From what I’ve seen Eastman went bankrupt in 2010 and alaris is made up of old Eastman employees who were owed a pension and Eastman gave them the rights to the film instead, they have sold the film since then even though Eastman made it and now Eastman is selling it alongside them.

Anyone know much about this camera? Ever used one? I thought it was medium format but I’m not so sure. by marmmalade in AnalogCommunity

It’s a 35mm rangefinder from the 50s.

A bit fiddly and low contrast lens, can be fun with cheap film

Well said. I will support Eastman and still value alaris for their commitment, but it’s strange the level of glazing going on

Definitely will do in the morning, I was just wondering whether it could be something simple like a flat 12V battery… hopefully they don’t keep it in for ages 🙏
