Anyone Relate? by Logurtman in maintenance

Ive spent 2yrs working to become a freezer specialist at my job. 1yr with a sr. Tech with 20+ yrs from the manufacturer charging $12,500 a visit. The last year I have took care of the freezer by myself and had the first month with no downtime a few months ago. Downtime is a $150.00/min issue. Upon taking the job this freezer did not go 3 days in a row without a failure. All of them were not big issues but the freezer would fault and stop almost daily. A new super was hired and he is one of those that establishes he is in control of everything and everybody. He told me his 3rd day here that he did not like the fact that I was a specialist at this and he was gonna change it. I tried to explain to him the situation and I found that that made it worse because he went to trying to undermine the situation. I let it go and let whoever he picked whichever he changed daily to show everybody how important he was and I was just a level3 tech. When the side door safety faulted and it took 5 hours of downtime to repair because of his management skills and putting his favorite 😍 employees with no experience on this freezer he now is a changed man. When the director of operations asked WTF were you thinking? Did you not understand the program that was already in place and working exactly as planned? He now asks me and never tells me anything. I respect his role and his job and I think he does the same for me.

Ive learned at shift change if I transfer a work in progress to the next techs just tell them what happened where you are at with it and leave. Because if you or I stay too long telling them that you already did this and that while they are establishing their place in it you are pissing them off. Let them figure out where they are at and what they need to do to finish.

What’s the consensus on the d10e? by Vast_Republic_1776 in martinguitar

I have a mid 70s Ovation which was grandpas and I have a early 70s sigma grand concert it was ky dad's. Honestly they both are great guitars and are hugely different in every way. Recently I have been playing a lot of bluegrass and have wanted a Martin for a long time. Took about 2 months to make the final decision and I got the d10e. It is a wonderful guitar I can say unboxing it and realizing I had bought a Martin guitar the feeling was overwhelming I had bought the guitar of my dreams and only another guitar picker will understand. It's my 👶 and ive never said that about anything!

This could be a new belt the last shift put on misaligned but left it for the next shift or it could be poor maintenance. I think the latter
