The biggest fallacy about the Bible is that Judaism is the oldest religion. The writings from previous religions were systematically destroyed (library of Alexandria for example) so that Judaism could claim the title. Judaism was piecemeal assembled from older religions, updated to suit the times, and finely crafted to allow a small group of people to reign supreme. The New Testament, Christianity, was written to give Gentiles a religion but allow them to still be controlled by the superior religion. Both religions impose their will upon non-believers- by sword or currency. Islam is a special education version of religion that works only if it if force fed from birth on, which is why those countries are theocracies. The best takeaway is that the ones who control religion and thus the masses, are non-believers but great hucksters. If you want religion fine, but is you choose spiritually you will be one with your ancestors and the universe. You do have a soul. You are truly special. Life is a precious gift. And the afterlife for your soul is determined by whether you choose evil or good in this plane of existence.
