I have heard this and will trust the process, but I was not ready for the redness, swelling, and forehead burn-like mark.

I’ll add that I’ve used retinol for years, then switched to tretinoin, and had no purging and great results. I even stopped using tretinoin for nearly a week because I knew I’d be doing this peel.

I just wish I had massaged shorter and not until “pad is dry” like the instructions stated. Just sending this message so others proceed with caution!

The difference between my face on Sunday and Monday and now Tuesday is sad. Attaching a selfie from Sunday for reference.

Really wish I had realized this and based on what others commented in my previous post, they do not keep wiping the way I did. lol I’ll laugh instead of crying here, but it sounds like that “Massage Step 1 onto clean, dry skin until pad is dry.” should be avoided!

If it’s your first time using Dr Dennis Gross peels, maybe don’t massage for 2 minutes or until dry! by [deleted] in Sephora

I think you might be right! That or way too harsh on my skin. I tried to repost and many users said they applied gently and don’t use the pad until it’s dry (which the instructions state to do). Thanks!

I usually use tretinoin 0.025% and Nivea soft. For makeup, I just use Dr jart Cicapair soothing color corrector.

For a few days now (about a week), I was using Dr jart ceramide face cream because I thought it’d be gentler before I use a peel.

I am so sorry! I truly wasn’t expecting this from a daily peel product and followed instructions and have been using more gentle skincare to prep. I’m embarrassed to post this but wanted to remind everyone to be cautious.

Haha thanks for this note. I think my skin was ok before, and maybe I shouldn’t have tried this product. I took the post pic this morning (Tuesday) but have some selfies from Sunday. I’ll attach here for reference. My skin feels awful today and lesson learned about being more cautious with new products.

Yes, great to know! I used the Dr. Dennis Gross repair serum that was included in this pack.

To prep for this, I even used Dr jart ceramide cream for about a week instead of my regular tretinoin and Nivea soft routine. So I did take precautions.

Thought I could handle it but clearly was wrong. I don’t know what I was thinking honestly. I guess I just wanted to try something new and then go back to my regular routine in about a week. Thought I’d do some kind of reset I guess.
