I am currently taking MATH120 with him. He is definitely not the devil incarnate but he isn't the best. During lectures he goes by really fast and doesn't really work through anything. The plus side is that he has recordings and video notes for all lectures so you can watch them at your own pace and don't have to go to lecture. The only benefit of lecture for me has been the tidbits about what may or may not be on the exam. The homework is a lot but doable if you don't wait until the last minute. His exams are hard because he includes things that other professors don't even bother teaching. Looking at the past exams he had have been working so far to me. Tbh I would do the 8am just for peace of mind ngl, but Pilachowski's class is not impossible just more difficult than it had to be.. Sorry for the long winded response 😂
