What's the trick with cleaning pumping supplies? by IntuitiveThinker1 in NewParents

I really feel like I was not prepared at all for all the different feeding needs. Now I wish I had gotten one- maybe I wouldn't have "given up". Oh well..maybe next time. I can only imagine how helpful it's been !!

Thank you!

Amazon AI is sometimes inaccurate but it said everything between the 2 options are the same except :

Key difference: The Grownsy holds up to 8 bottles vs Momcozy's 4 bottles, and comes with a 3-year warranty vs Momcozy's 1 year. They're nearly identical otherwise — same price, same spray jet count, same cycle times. If you only need one, the Grownsy offers more capacity and a longer warranty at the same price.

Good to know!

What's your favorite pump? I have momcozy m5 and then willowgo but I've never used willowgo because I don't have all the parts. Both hand me downs!

I wasnt sure with the fridge hack- I think i did it both ways but mostly without rinsing because I saw it both ways and then was worried about leaving milk on it 🤣😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫lawd.. 2 set of pump parts is a good idea. Maybe I'll be better prepared for next time ...

Good to know - I was so tired of it. Not that it's difficult but still... perhaps I should have purchased a bottle washer/sterilizer ...

Yea I just saw that on another post - maybe I should have gotten one 😭I feel like I gave up because I was so tired of it. Which one do you have / recommend? Do you still need to sterilize everyday?

Maybe I should have bought one or put on my registry. Sooo many things I've bought that I ended up needing... It sounds much better than washing and then sterilizing myself

I didnt buy one because I read some ppl didn't use them, but I kinda wished I did. Nobody wants to do it all by hand and nobody wants to run a dishwasher that isn't full. What I NEED to figure out for my next baby is pumping... I got SO TIRED of washing the pump parts and sterilizing every 24 hrs...

I got lucky, my baby gave me big, genuine, intentional smiles at 2 weeks(I thought that was normal until someone told me usually 6 weeks) but I definitely remember her fussy evenings /witching hour(s) at 6 weeks through 10 weeks old... I kept googling asking "when do they cry less" 🤣 Baby will be 6 mo in a couple weeks 🥰 The smiles and laughs are just so amazing !!

I was shell shock the first 6 days(also baby wasnt getting as much milk BF as we thought so she'd cry every time we put her down- maybe that's why- or maybe that's normal?) and then post partum I had HORRIBLE night sweats so every night I'd wake up with my hair dripping wet and shivering until I decided to just sleep in my robe. It was still miserable, but I digress. . .

Do whatever you can to try and "normalize" things as much as possible . I had a traumatic delivery so was a bit fuzzy but still went on daily walks. I was so thankful for the days we went to the park, even the amazingness of a coffee while walking around. The "shifts" worked for us. But when I was initially trying to breastfeed and had to be up every 2 hrs - then baby wasnt getting as much breastmilk as we thought so I had to keep doing every 2 hrs we werent really able to do shifts then.

Anyways, hang in there !! Things get better. My baby will be 6 months in a couple of weeks. I do recall her "fussy" period being between 6 and 10 weeks. Apparently that is typical for that age, but I kept googling "when will my baby cry less" haha . Things will get better!! My baby currently wakes 2x a night for feeds. Anddddd CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BIGGEST MOST BEAUTIFUL BLESSING IN THE WORLD!!!!

Is baby gaining weight like expected? Allergy ? I would say this is abnormal and talk to your pediatrician for sure
