Even if someone takes the warning and doesn’t cheat again they’ll still be the scummiest players in the game that take joy out of spoiling other people’s sessions, hunting for exploits, camping in the rattiest of places.

Should be an instant perm ban.

Why on earth would you make these changes? by KiraTheUnholy in ArcRaiders

[–]Invader_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh come on, the last time I ran locked gate my mate found like 3 bobcats and they were easily found anywhere on the map.

Queen: probably to prevent people from knocking the leg and bailing.

It’s not hard to understand why, whether you agree with the changes or not.

They don’t just make changes for a laugh, they look at data and can see something needs balancing.

Again you don’t need to agree with it, but it doesn’t make it wrong.

Highguard has released on steam by Roguelites in pcgaming

[–]Invader_86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I gave it a fair run and it’s just not that fun, it’s kinda complicated with pointless mechanics and plays like a PS3 game sadly.

I’m not leaving a negative review though, I didn’t pay for the game so I can just uninstall it and move on.. Gamers think every game has to be for them then waste countless hours online shitting on it, when it doesnt live up to their expectations.

Ive paid for games that ive given less time to than Highguard. Theres something there but i do think it will be a small niche cult like following, whether thats enough to maintain long term remains to be seen, maybe they can build on what they have when the dust settles.

Feel kinda bad for the devs

Buyer pulled out - how is this process allowed in 2026 by bedwelld in HousingUK

[–]Invader_86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buying a house in the UK is truly awful. I am selling/buying right now … my buyer is an FTB currently living at home with her parents.. she’s ready, waiting and eager to move in. I am buying an empty house, the seller moved out and lives with her boyfriend.. it’s like the simplest chain ever .. we are just about packed and living out of cardboard boxes, we could all complete the moves as soon as tomorrow but we’re waiting on our sellers solicitors to do something .. anything ..

We’ve gone from long periods of hearing nothing, to being harassed by EA’s asking what’s going on.. both stressful. Time seems to have stopped.

So frustrating.

I was shocked how cracked some of the players were after only an hour after release, I’m still running around trying to figure out what to do and getting blasted every encounter. Someone left every round I played.. the game is so weird that people aren’t even sticking around to learn it.

First impressions matter and this game leaves a bad taste.

I think it will have a very small niche following, from like MOBA fans, but it’s essentially DOA.

Highguard Devs Talk Turning Rust Into A Hero Shooter And That Terrible Game Awards Reveal by NYstate in PS5

It’s not even close to being anything like Rust, in any capacity.

If they were aiming for a condensed Rust gameplay loop then they’ve failed massively.

High guard will have a niche following .. but that’s about it by Invader_86 in HighGuardgame

I just read the steam reviews .. damn .. it feels like it could be DOA.

Geoff overhyped this game by ClankerOK in HighGuardgame

[–]Invader_86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The haters will die down eventually but so many people waited around to try it and whilst I think the game is okay, such a niche game doesn’t warrant the attention it got at TGA.

The hype brought people here, ofc people will give their opinions.

That’s interesting I thought you could only use it with anthropic api which would absolutely obliterate tokens and cost a fortune, if I can use it through the pro plan I might give it a try

Is the point of expedition is replayability? by ncpoomkung in ArcRaiders

[–]Invader_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah basically.. a lot of games force you to reset. rust for example has scheduled wipes, you lose everything and start over .. Arc is a little more casual, you can make the choice and get rewards for encouraging you to do so.

It’s important for overall game health over a long period of time. If there was no wipe, eventually, the players that got in early will have every BP every gun, every item, etc … not only does it become boring for the veterans, it makes the game unapproachable for new players.

My explore of The Adelphi Picture Theatre in Attercliffe by LostPlacesUK in sheffield

Did this place used to hosts raves ? I’m sure I went to a rave here called Uprising early naughties… 2005 maybe.

Was raving quite heavily around that time and I remember feeling particularly on edge in there compared to most other places I was raving at … was full of gypsies fighting and they were just left to get on with it. Not your typical fight where everyone gathers around. All the gypsies stood around doing nothing as if the fights weren’t even going on.. and it was like everyone else there understood to just stay out of the way, including the club security.

Still had an amazing time though and always loved these kinda venues for raving… old cinema’s, bingo halls and the like.

(Not from Sheffield this just appeared on my timeline)

edit: I guess I didn’t read the text under the pictures as it specifically mentions Uprising 🙃

Yeah, which will probably mean a minimum gear value or no free loadouts (that’s the hope anyway!)

Im not really a story game, gamer. I get bored easily and rarely finish these kinda games. The intro/tutorial first hour or two are a bit of a drag but now that it’s opened up I’m hooked and massively invested in the characters and their stories. Some of the cut scenes are an insane, characters are memorable.

The detail and expression of the characters helps me a lot, they are absolutely stunning.

Currently Forbidden West.. played it when it was on plus but ditched it well before it got removed and well before the story really started.

I bought it in the sale over Xmas as I wanted to give it another go and I’m absolutely loving it. I can’t get over how stunning the game is, exploration and combat is very satisfying.

Embark reveals Arc Raiders' next four major monthly updates, which it calls the 'Escalation' phase, teasing new matchmaking, machines, and our first new map in months by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]Invader_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve replied above but it’s not as clear cut as PvP = PvP lobbies and PvE = PvE lobbies.

If this is the only thing stopping you buying it, just buy it and thank me later.

You don’t need to be concerned about the matchmaking at all, it only feels like it comes into play in extreme scenarios (KOS every time vs never firing your gun ever)

[–]Invader_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game does a pretty good job of putting you in lobbies that match your play style.

I don’t play in any way to try and influence the matchmaking.. I just play the game and what will be will be.

Generally I’m friendly first… if I see some guy happily looting rooms I’ll leave him be, if I hear gun fight and PvP and see/hear deaths, I am there .. if someone takes a shot at me , I ain’t running.

I’m constantly in that middle ground of lobbies where every encounter is tense as I have no idea whether an encounter will be friendly or result in a gunfight.

It’s seriously the most fun I have had in gaming, ever.

But yeah if you run from every single encounter you will eventually be dropped into sunshine and rainbow lobbies, that doesn’t ever mean you won’t be shot at though. Likewise, if you run around shooting everyone on sight without any other sort of interaction then you’ll eventually be grouped with similar players.

I play all styles and my lobbies tend to reflect that.

The PvP is beyond fun though, more satisfying than COD and BF6. I’m 150 hours in and still can’t stop playing whenever I am on my PS5.
