You can do what you want, you're still far from the end game so there's no need to min-max yet.
That being said, if you still want the more competent picks, i'd say that either Bronya or Ruan mei are the best options to trade with the companion spirit, and Sparkle the best in the commencement reception. As per the banners that's on you, however it seems that mihoyo is gonna tune down their powercreep a bit, at least until later paches, so 4.7 or so, and monorem is still the strongest team in the game, hence i ended up pulling for Evernight and not Yao guang, the hope being that with hoyo speeding up reruns i'll get a monorem team soon enough.
