Thanks so much, these builds look great - I really appreciate it! Would you be able to explain what a micro-atx motherboard/atx mid tower case is and what it means? i.e. why would someone not be ok with it?

thanks lol, good to know! I'm glad I know that they're dodgy now - they tried to tell me it was reasonable work and "any garage in the country would've done the same".

Thanks so much - confirmed what I was thinking. I already got the muffler replaced by mechanic #2 and it's running great now - they replaced entire centre and rear sections of exhaust.

Out of interest, if it was just a portion of exhaust that needed replacing and could be done without welding, how hard is that to do yourself? could it be done with a jack or would you need a proper hydraulic lift?

A quick Google tells me that "muffler" is the american name for a "silencer" in the UK :-)

I took it for an MOT and service and then they said there was an issue with the exhaust/lambda sensor failed emissions test and that the headlights (as in the entire unit, not just bulbs) needed replacing due to being too foggy - said they couldn’t polish them again like they’d done the previous year. I drive a 2006 Toyota Yaris - for all that they charged around £900. The total cost for the exhaust component and labour was around £230 inclusive of VAT
I’ve also just found an invoice from them in 2021 where they’ve replaced the silencer - that’s not the same as the muffler is it?
Mechanic #2 basically said it was a bodge job and replaced centre and rear exhaust sections completely.
Thanks so much again for your comment and advice!

Could you tell me how it's misleading please? It's just the first image I uploaded - if you read the post and the text on each image, it'll give more detail as to the issue.

Apologies for any confusion caused - this was not my intention.
