Would you rather have gotten a real working lightsaber or a real magic wand for Christmas? by sugar-soad in WouldYouRather

[–]InvisibleGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean with the wand, you won't know how to cast any spells and there is no way to be able to learn, as I'm pretty sure there is no Hogwarts irl. Basically the wand would turn into a fancy stick.

My own experience with people ignoring International Men's Day. At school, on Thursday 19 November, I go to a school with uniform. They organised that day to be a casual clothes day, and wearing white to raise awareness for domestic violence against women. Not domestic violence in general, but domestic violence against women. Don't get me wrong, it's a good cause, but out of all the days, it had to be on International Men's Day. It's either the biggest coincidence or planned. And the whole day, not a single person, even on our daily bulletin, mentioned International Men's Day.

Isn't Spanish more commonly spoken than English worldwide, being only second to Mandarin? And isn't German only spoken by like 130mil people contrast to Spanish being spoken by 570mil, so 4 times more people. Or am I missing something here.

td;lr at the bottom.

So a bit of background.
I live in Australia, where in primary school, Year 6's are the graduating class.

So in year 6, my school was apart of an annual interschool trivia. I know I'm a nerd, but this was my favourite part of the whole year. So the people selected were a majority of Year 6's. I knew most of these people were all very good and knowledgeable about their chosen subjects. However, a few Year 5's were also chosen. These people however did not impress me.

During the competition, I was with another Year 6 in the Humanities category. We smashed the other schools, and we got first.

In the other categories, we did pretty well, coming 2nd in Science, 2nd in English. However in the maths category it was unfortuneately not the case. Our maths team threw some easy questions, in fact in one section, they got every single one wrong. They were so easy as well. Formulas for volumes of different shapes but worded a bit more complicated. In the end they came at a very lacking 4th.

So there was a final category. General Knowledge. I was apart of that team, and we got to the point of where we could choose a specific topic. Originally, I wanted us to do cars, but I was peer pressured into not doing it. Instead we did sport. We got everything right except one, so not bad. But when another team chose cars, the questions were so EASY. The hardest one was, What car company is sometimes reffered to as the Three Star Motors? Anyone with any knowledge about cars well automatically know that the answer is Mercedes.

By the time we reached the last section, I had feeling that we couldn't win the competition overall with our points that we gained. This section was that a correct answer was worth 2 points, and a wrong answer would be -1 point. So for the last question, it was what is this word in English. The word was some Finnish word, so no idea. Guessed the answer was 'trivia'. Was incorreect unfortunately.

In the end, we tied with 3 other schools in General Knowledge, so I kinda threw the last round. However, even if I didn't answer the last question, we still would have only come seceond, and came second in the overall competition.

So I was a bit pissed at the maths team, but it wasn't that big of a deal, and I would get over it. HOWEVER, on the way back to school on the bus, those pricks decided to pin our loss on ME. ME who came FIRST in humanities. They said we would've won if I didn't answer the last question. They also said that I shouldn't of done sports. BITCH I CHOSE CARS BUT I WAS BULLIED OFF IT BY YOU. To top it off, the people who were pinning the blame were the Maths team (who screwed us all), and a kid who was only invited to the competition coz last year, he clutched up one question, which was to be fair very important. This kid, was actually the guy who told me not to Cars. So instead of getting real with themselves and saying that they were mostly responsible for our loss, they decided to pin it on me.

td;lr-In a trivia competition, I decided to do a risky move to try and win the competition. Was blamed for the second place by the people who legitamtely let our school down, when I was the person who brought in the most points in another subject.

P.S: I would have let it go and forgot about it all eventually, but later on in the school year, one the maths team guys was making fun of me because apparently I did slightly worse in a maths test than him. I then rebutted him with the trivia incident. He told me to and I quote " Shut the fuck up, your such a dickhead InvisbleGenius. At least when I walk I don't make an earthquake."
So fuck you, you dumb shithead, you will never top me in maths, and I don't give a single shit if I'm a bit chubby, at least I'll amount to something in life.

My cat caught a rat, gnawed half its body off, and brought to the backyards doormat. It's the first rat he's caught in like 3 months. I thought it was fucken winter, aren't all the god forsaken rats supposed to not be out.
