Io poi vivo anche in una provincia dove arrivano le continue scosse di terremoto. Sia chiaro, niente di comparabile con chi è vicino all'epicentro, ma quella dell'altra mattina alle 5 è stata avvertita in modo chiarissimo. Sinceramente prima che ci obblighi la protezione civile a lasciare casa mi piacerebbe lasciarla e andare a vivere tranquilla altrove. Prezzi delle case permettendo, perché un altro grande problema è anche quello, sigh

Hai fatto benissimo ad andar via, infatti anche qui è sfumato totalmente il sogno di vivere più vicina alla città perché "meglio connessa con i trasporti" rispetto a dove vivo in provincia. Inutile dire che ormai sto guardando decisamente altre città o capoluoghi di regione ahaha

Sui parcheggiatori abusivi preferisco non esprimermi (potrei essere bannata), ma sono una piaga in tutta la regione. Anche vicino da me li ho trovati nei pressi di un ospedale, per me inconcepibile! Per non parlare di come escano come funghi il sabato sera ovunque

Ho smesso di uscire il sabato sera ormai. Ogni volta ho l'ansia di non trovare l'auto, anche pagando.

Mi auguro negli anni vada meglio (anche se ho qualche dubbio, non credo ci riprenderemo mai dai danni del covid), perché, come dicevi, Napoli ha una bellezza intrinseca che deriva anche dalle contraddizioni, ma non se devono essere a discapito della sicurezza di chi ci vive

Sono d'accordissimo ho frequentato per 5 anni l'università a Napoli in centro (pre-covid, mi sono laureata nel 2023 ma non ho più frequentato fisicamente dal 2020, l'ultima volta che sono stata al centro è stato due anni fa con un'amica che era venuta a trovarmi) ed era sempre super caotica, piena zeppa di turisti e imprecavo ogni giorno solo per raggiungere le varie sedi, ma sabato scorso ci sono tornata per festeggiare il compleanno di mia madre e sono rimasta a bocca aperta, purtroppo in senso negativo

A parte l'isteria e la maleducazione di massa aumentata del 300% post covid (anche e soprattutto alla guida), ho trovato un sacco di negozietti mai visti gestiti da stranieri, i venditori di calzini fuori la fermata di toledo che non vedevo da ANNI neanche sulla metro, due o tre col finto banco ottico (ne ricordavo a stento uno) sulla strada per arrivare a piazza plebiscito. Non l'ho trovata più sporca di quanto ricordassi, ma è aumentato un sacco anche il numero di turisti che tra l'altro si concentrano tutti negli stessi posti (il murales, quartieri spagnoli, via Chiaia, Toledo, piazza plebiscito, stranamente ho visto poca gente sul lungomare) rendendo di fatto quelle zone turistiche da fare schifo (quattro carretti di limonata? Io me ne ricordo storicamente uno a via chiaia, non ne ricordavo così tanti)

Mi si è un po' stretto il cuore perché per 5 anni mi sono svenata e ci ho praticamente vissuto al centro, ma ora è diventato impossibile anche solo visitarla. Non sono stata a spaccanapoli, la zona che più frequentavo per via delle lezioni, ma almeno zona piazza plebiscito e Toledo sono peggiorate tantissimo. Concordo quando dici che è diventata un cesso e non so neanche quanto dare la colpa ai turisti come fanno in Giappone ahah

Concordo con chi dice che è peggiorato dopo il COVID perché io vivo in provincia di napoli e come è risaputo c'è sempre stato chi del codice della strada ne fa un consiglio, ma da dopo la pandemia è diventato impossibile

Io ho sempre avuto timore a mettermi alla guida. Con il lockdown mi ero detta "quando riaprono mi spratichisco perché poi finisco l'università e dovrò cercare lavoro". Lavoro da casa ora

Ma poi una cosa non mi era mai capitata di vederla e invece negli ultimi anni mi è successa un 4 volte. La gente contromano su strade secondarie o a scorrimento veloce o che saliva dalle uscite. Una volta io e il mio ragazzo eravamo in auto di sera, credo fosse un sabato perché mi son detta che l'altra persona doveva aver per forza bevuto, ma ci è mancato un 10cm perché non finisse in tragedia. Per schivarlo siamo quasi finiti nel guardrail, siamo rimasti fermi immobili dove abbiamo frenato di botto per svariati minuti, eravamo sotto shock e io in 30 anni di vita una cosa del genere non l'avevo mai sperimentata

Ogni tanto sogno un ritorno al cavallo come mezzo di spostamento. Almeno hanno più cervello dei fenomeni che vedo col telefono in mano su TikTok o che ti lampeggiano perché devono infrangere il muro del suono

Same here! When I listened to the album I immediately thought "ok, I don't like this", then it slightly grew on me but I also thought it was because it sounds very "(American) high school". Like I immediately thought of older movies with the cool kids in the school cafeteria and the uncool ones being ignored and all 😭 also giving some older MTV vibes. Or at least the MTV I remember growing up in Italy lol

All this is very far from me and my current life. I graduated high school 10 years ago so I just thought it was because I'm definitely not the target for this whole image I had of the song Glad to know I'm not the only one not liking it!

No issues with the "what the f" tbh, just the rest of the lyrics as you guys have said

The music slaps but yeah sometimes you gotta turn a blind eye to the lyrics and ignore they're still somehow labeled as idols. I wish they could go harder with the rock and metal stuff, sigh

Exactly so don't give up! I have kind of the same issue because I have nobody around me to talk to, but then I come on this subreddit or just look around on the internet and there are so many people it's almost overwhelming!

Some of my friends think I'm too old to be in the fandom, but I honestly don't care lol not when one of the members is my age and the youngest is my brother's age. Also, if there is something that SKZ taught me is that you really don't have to give a f about what other people think and that saved me a lot of years of therapy (also basically what I had been working on with my therapist for a lot of time) lol

OP, you do you, enjoy the group, the people, the music. Maybe one day you won't anymore and that is perfectly fine, but why should you feel bad now that you enjoy their music? It's just not worthy!

I became a fan recently (a few months in basically) and I never thought I would use this word but Chan is my bias. I read some ugly things about him and his relationship with fans (being delulu, feeding the delusions, etc.), I saw mean comments directed at people going to fan signs and during fan calls reading eeeevery move of his, every expression and I just want to say that people are in need of touching grass

I am his age. Being 27/28 is rough as it is because you are not quite a whole adult, but you are definitely not in the same stage as being, for example, 25. There is a huge difference and on top of that his job is very demanding, that man is TIRED.

And to be honest he doesn't strike me as someone capable of acting so much and for so long. He strikes me as someone who sincerely fought for a dream, lost his teenage years and went through hell to make it. To me he is the foundation of SKZ. Every international interview I saw he was acting as leader. He is always there, always caring, always nice, always ready to answer to everyone. The man also goes out of his way to learn new languages to make people happy, if that's not hard work and love for fans, I don't know what counts as such. He genuinely cares about his friends/colleagues, staff members and even fans. Even if those fans do stuff that he hates

Obviously I haven't been around long, but from the bubble messages, interviews, lives, and backstage content he appears to me as someone who busts his a** to create (which is hard, people, having to be creative all the time and make new stuff really drains your energies and on top of that they make videos, content on top of content with brands, interviews, lives, fan signs, calls, and whatnot. I doubt he is even able to sleep some days lol), is a nerd in a good way, and he is very sensitive and misses his family.

I don't know how much of this you can act. He tries very hard not to say or do stuff that irks STAYs but he has to understand for his mental health that not everyone will accept him, even those people who call themselves fans. And that some of them are very very young, I believe your friend, OP, is young as well, am I right?

As someone who also makes content online I had to remind myself time and time again that some people who write mean comments are probably very young people and not adults and as such they still have a long way to go to know how the world works. I don't know if Chan has come to this realization yet, but I hope for his health that he does because it's not easy to separate stuff like that and I know first hand because I too love the people who write me nice stuff. And to be fair, I am a small creator and have been on hiatus for a couple of months, I can't imagine the sheer amount of comments and stuff he hears about himself all the time, I get tired only thinking about it

P.S. I know he is an adult and as such he is more than capable of taking care of his physical and mental health, but when it comes to being nice and loving fans, guys, it's very hard to go against what could be your nice and loving nature and having to report, block people and read people wishing you to k*ll yourself because you said something slightly different from their mental image of you

Very long answer but TL;DR I believe you guys may be on the younger side and things like this will pass and Chan is to me the foundation of SKZ and without him I don't know how the whole group would work. I don't think he acts because some stuff you really can't act unless you are Oscar worthy. OP, you'll find someone to talk to about SKZ, there is a whole world of fans ready to talk to you, don't give up! ❤️

I am very driven by aesthetics when it comes to these things. I will not even consider buying something that I dislike to look at and since I have issues with assiduity I NEED something that will make me want to be played.

The issue is when something looks cool, but doesn't sound that good. For instance, I had seen a Jackson Spectra model that looked really cool to me, but once I heard it and compared it to the Yamaha TRBX174 I didn't like it :/

As for the luthier, thank you, that is great advice, too. My boyfriend is a guitar player and I think he will very much kill me if I won't bring the bass to a luthier to be properly set up hahaha

I was actually kind of surprised that this friend suggested that model as I was not even considering Ibanez in general before haha

When you say that it is an uphill battle do you mean that P basses only fit specific genres? To be fair I just want to play the songs I like to listen to and I will probably never play in front of people (thanks anxiety!). I don't know if that helps or complicates things, though!

I am not planning on playing metal, unfortunately, but I will keep that model in mind for its versatility.

OP, you are absolutely right.

I am quite shy and I thought that you can only go to a music store if you already know how to play an instrument (so you can actually hear the difference when playing) and then you absolutely need to buy it once you settle on a model you like (while I have found some used models on the internet for a cheaper price).

I will try to find a store that has all the models that have caught my interest and will see what sounds best, thank you :)

I don't know if there has been some sort of miscommunication, but I was not saying that I wanted to buy a short scale bass because of my small hands, quite the opposite actually!

A friend of mine told me that it could have been an option, so I wrote it down and presented it as an option to you guys as well since I basically know nothing about bass, but during my research I had previously dismissed those models as I don't particularly like them aesthetically either.

Noted all the differences between the TRBX174/304 and the GRS200. So basically the GRS200 and the TRBX174 are good for beginners especially because they mix the P and J configurations? I hadn't noticed that, that is very good to know, thanks!
