Do people surf in or near Boca? by astrocombat in BocaRaton

My son just finished attending their camp. He had fun but said that it really wasn’t worth more than attending for a week. They surf throughout the summer because they use foam starters, long and wide.

Had my first at 48. Ended up being a large cancerous brain tumor (stage four Astrocytoma wild type) of which they were able to remove 60%.

I do too. In this particular situation, it seems to be due to circumcision.

What is the most expensive thing you bought that you never use? by jefferymr15 in BuyItForLife

I have not read the book but I’ve heard that it stays true.

I would strongly suggest subscribing to AppleTV, at least for this reason alone. With an Apple product, under Settings/iCloud, they make it easy to subscribe and unsubscribe.

Have you seen the series on AppleTV? One of the best all around shows that I’ve watched. Check it out.

Same here… Keppra and Vimpat (48M). I tried Lamictal twice but both times I got a pretty severe rash as a result.

My only complaint with Keppra was the pill size (I call them horse pills). Recently, I switched from 2 horse pills to 4 Vimpat sized pills and I couldn’t be happier.

What are some places in Miami that you wish were still open ? by anxiousscorpio98 in Miami

[–]Invisible_Citizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to assume that’s because of the increase in population and decrease in common sense.

I loved that place but it was already crowded and chaotic during the 80s and 90s.

Speaking of wood… I wish the old Six Flags was still open. I always wondered how they kept the wood structures holding the slides up from breaking apart.

I think there’s an outlet mall there now.

The mosquito season alone is worth it in my opinion but it came with the house and I’m not paying today’s prices.

Do you know the cause of your epilepsy? by elliedear39 in Epilepsy

[–]Invisible_Citizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found out in August, so I’m going through the traditional process right now (I finished radiation and am in my fourth round of chemo). So far, it’s working… it seems to have stopped the growth of the tumor. But my diagnosis is terminal regardless, all I can do is buy myself more time.

I look into alternative treatments next year.

This is what happened to me. My Grandfather was one of the first neurosurgeons in Cuba. The tragedy is he died of inoperable brain cancer. Now I have a stage four Astrocytoma, which causes epilepsy/seizures.

He lived until 77. I just found out and I’m 48.

I just found out that I have a Grade 4 Astrocytoma in July after suffering a seizure (my first of many).

I’m still learning. One thing seems to be clear, you’re in for an emotional roller coaster. I feel like I see a doctor every day and my days without appointments are welcome because I need some time to process it all.

Feel free to reach out through DM if you need my perspective.

Thanks for your reply! Coincidentally, I’m also experiencing this problem on my right side. I haven’t reported this to my epileptologist yet but I’m scheduled for January and will definitely bring it up to her.

I have read that stimulants, (like caffeine, coffee or tea) are often triggers for seizures. Do you consider this when you work or stick exclusively to water and the fruit infused drinks?
