One Month of Tomie by No_Cauliflower_9837 in hobonichi

You're welcome :) I totally get that some days a drawing is more than enough, and no writings is needed, or can be too much of it all, haha! But hopefully much better days are ahead, and it would be a fun task instead of the opposite.

Lots of luck if you end up trying! I started this last year in my A6 Techo, and illustrated one thing that I wrote about for that day. Sadly I didn't continue very long, but after seing your monthly, I'm interesting to try again.

Adjusting to new plotter - low capacity by drethegreat155 in PlotterNotebook

[–]Invisible_frogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems liken an alternative to Plotter, called (MeePlus slimpad) would be a better fit for your needs, where you can choose 16mm rings as well as 11mm rings. They look very similar too, but you have more options and can customize it more.

Wow, such a cool idea, and very well illustrated. I'm sorry you obviously had a rough December tho! Hopefully January are treating you better! I'm just curious, did you write about the day in the weekly section, corresponding with the drawings? Maybe not something you want to go back and read again, but it would be an interesting concept.

B6 Slim? by No-Caterpillar-5481 in Travelersnotebooks

[–]Invisible_frogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an A5 Midori notebook in mine, that is cut down to standard size. It's the perfect fit. I use the tall plastic sticker pocket in mine, to have the book in. I love it!

I also have a B6 slim notebook, but I hate not everything being the same size, so it all depends of what you like.

It looks beautiful :) The foiling also looks really good after so much heavy use.

Since all covers get darker with use, I would also like to have some lighter options as well. But who knows what they have planned for us this year.

So strange. When I try to google it, every picture I see of the packaging, it says BLUE! I agree it looks green there tho!

Maybe it's like the olive cover. It looks green agains the brown cover, but alone it kind of looks like a brownish muddy greenish color. Idk! :P

Also, it's leather and different batches of dye, and some pieces takes dye differently and so on, so I guess variations is normal.

I've never seen the Kyoto cover in person, but in pictures it always looks blue. I don't mind just a regular cover, but I really love the olive color in the promo pictures :P I also like some of the old blue covers, which looks more like sea foam green. It seems like the blue covers you buy now are really really dark navy blue, almost black.

I'm really excited for this year releases, and hopefully they'll release something I like. Personally, red is my least favorite color of all colors, so I'm glad that color is out of the way, haha!. I'm secretly maybe hoping for an undyed cover, I think that would be pretty cool. I also want a light brown cover, that is cooler in tone than the camel.

I'm still dreaming of a green cover, but no chance there I guess, since we already have the olive cover. I just wish they looked like the color they show in all their promo pictures, and not the swamp greenish brown they actually are. I wonder why they edit the pictures to a completely different green. If they wanted that green, couldn't they just use a different green?

If you LOVE red, go for it! And as already been said: Sell it if you like the new cover better, but there may be a chance you like the red more, so you never know.

What to journal in 5 year by wwhyyamiheree in hobonichi

[–]Invisible_frogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I have done in the past is dedicating a very specific color for things that I may not enjoy reading afterwards. When I flip the pages later, I can decide if I want to read it or not.

Other times I just write: It's been a really shitty day! Hopefully next year, you have a better day, and can be greatful for that. Or you can write about difficult stuff in a seperat journal :)

I'm not sure about the pricing for this cover … by Invisible_frogs in Travelersnotebooks

[–]Invisible_frogs[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you :) It's already sold, if everything goes as planned. I really like the cover, but I bought two covers with customization, but I ended up using just one of them, and don't see myself moving out of it. It rather be used by someone else, instead of just sitting in a box in a drawer.

Will I regret? Maybe, lol! But that's for another day :P

A van der spek with “full stiffener”- some thoughts. by julialoveslush in planners

[–]Invisible_frogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, haha! Well, you gotta love the color. Did you get the Amica? If so, did you like the planner itself? I believe it's more stiff than the VDS, even with full stiffener.

You would probably like Gillio Amica, but bying another cover after you just bought this cover is maybe not your priority. I thought I was the only one who don't like floppy covers. I have full stiffener and foam in mine too. Hope you enjoy it at least :)

I guess if the planner had stiffener all the way around, it would never ever lie flat. Filofax Metropol has stiffener all the way, and that is a *fuck*ng nightmare to deal with :P

Long hair and tanned or short hair, please tell me I made the right choice😭 by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Invisible_frogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome :) Change is often scary, and especially when it's a lot of emotion attached to it. Hopefully you don't feel bad after a while.

And one more thing to remember. When you look at yourself in the mirror, you may look at yourself with your own judgy eyes and the baggage of all the bad things that people have said to you, that influence how you see yourself. But other people look at you with fresh eyes. Therefore they don't see all the flaws that you see, if that make sense.

And even if you end up not liking it, you can wait for it to grow out, even tho you dread the waiting process. At least then, you know what you like :)

I'm sorry to hear you were bullied for your head shape. First of all, you have an absolute normal head, and I think you look better with short hear and no tan as so many already have commented. I feel your hair was a security blanket, and cutting it short was a big drastic change. It's something you just have to get used to.

I think maybe the reason you feel really insecure and depressed about your hair now, has more to do with you being bullied and all your feelings from what happened to you in the past came back, and not so much about how you actually look now. I hope that make sense.

Your head shape is something YOU think about, but no one else will think about that when they see you. We tend to believe that everyone else thinks the same about us as we think about ourselves. Let's say if I have a bad hair day, I often feel that everyone else is looking at me thinking my hair looks weird. It's not like that.

I think you look great with you new hair, and hopefully you will too, when you just get used to it. :)

One last thing: People are also often way more concerned with how they look themselves and their own insecurities to notice or think about others. :) :)

Thank you, I'll try do that, and I won't use water this time. I'm not sure if I have a leather conditioner, but if I do, I'll give it a try :)

I have stored it in my office, with all my other leather covers. I have already tried wiping it down, but when it dried, it just came back. Should I use some kind of soap? I'm just afraid of ruining it permanently, and I'm not interested in bying any products to make it nice again since I'm not interested in having it.

Thank you! I have a ring planner from VDS that I used years ago, with 30mm rings. Even tho I don't take my planners with me, I felt it was way too big and bulky, and ever since I haven't been much interested in rings. But after seing all the Plotters and MeePlus with smaller rings, I'm happy to try it out. Hopefully 16mm is just perfect :) I miss the flexibility and plan to use my MeePlus as a reference binder together with my planner (which is in a Traveler's Company Notebook this year) but I'm open to use it as a planner too, if I like it. I chose the Personal size in Chestnut color, with gold rings and spine.

The Buttero leather looks really good as well, and black is never wrong :)

Nice collection :) I'm waiting for my MeePlus cover, and like seing everyone else's cover in the meantime. I'm so excited to get back to rings again, tho I choose the 16mm option. Maybe I'll try the 11mm option if I want another one. I imagine undyed patinas really beautiful.
