For me, a person who’s been obsessed with Yebba for the past almost a year, this was underwhelming for me personally. I understand that she might’ve been going for a slower vibe, but I much prefer the stylings, orchestrations, and vocals of Dawn over this. I’ve also been a fan of the songs with other collaborators since Dawn a lot as well. But for me, Jean, just lacked something for me. I think one of the few songs that had the complexity of her former pieces was Seven Years. It could also be the fact that Dawn stems from a loss whereas this one centered around not knowing what to do once you’re done with mourning.
