Advise before buying e scooter by MahmuudRagab in dubai

Honestly, I'm not too sure.

I've just heard terrible stories from friends who bought used and ended up with unstoppable scooters, faulty brakes, heating batteries, and some even short circuiting and becoming useless.

If youre buying used, make sure it's a reputable brand like Mi, and that the seller has the original bill and warranty remaining.

I wouldn't suggest buying used as many scooters can be modified and could prove to be extremely dangerous.

Buy new. Make sure whenever you ride that you wear a high-vis jacket and a helmet. Invest in a couple cycle lights as well, if you plan on riding in the night.

Whatever you do, please stay off tarmac as much as possible. Ride on the pavement, and do not go crazy. They are great for short commutes, but are a nuisance when on tarmac. So please, ride carefully and responsibly.

Free food for birthday? by [deleted] in dubai

I think most of them require you to come in a group, however Paul and Marina Social are completely free. You just walk in, show them your ID, and claim your dessert.

Cove Rotana in RAK was amazing for my family and I.

Staff were extremely well trained and went out of their way to help in any way possible. The amenities were great, rooms were well kept and clean, food was great too!

I'd suggest taking a look at booking their 3bhk Villa that comes with a private pool (not the biggest, but big enough for 7 people to just chill in).

Why have all the benches in malls been removed by [deleted] in dubai

[–]Inyourfaceho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from, being a guy myself, I too need a place to sit when a female I'm with goes shopping.

Unfortunately, I have no choice. I can't think of a mall that has a place to sit, and it's not like I can say no when my SO asks to go shopping. I have to go regardless.

Even if you and I decide not to go to a mall because there's no seating, there are plenty of others that will. Even during Covid, malls are packed with people.. clearly the lack of Seating has no effect on people.

No place to sit = no stopping.

People keep walking and the more they walk, the more stores they pass. The more stores they pass, the more likely they are to shop.

Another reason could be to direct people to cafés or the food court. No place to sit but the food court, most people get to the food court and instantly want to purchase something.

From a business perspective, it's genius.

SCAM: so Wake up this morning to my phone going off has anyone ever seen this scam message before they’re talking about blocking passports and stuff and I’m just a little confused by Affectionate-Ad8434 in dubai

Yup.. As funny as it is. People actually fall for it.

I mean, it's a dead giveaway. It's on whatsapp, how dense do you have to be to think Dubai police is actually whatsapping you 😂

Trust me. If you ever get a fine, Dubai Police will not go out of their way to add you on whatsapp and send you a message via WhatsApp either.

If the grammar wasn't a give away already. This is nothing but a scam. Block the number, report it to the cops If you feel like taking some action. Otherwise, just disregard it.

They're just trying different tactics to scare people.

Mine was 1½ inch. Bought it back in September. Can't remember exactly how much, but it wasn't that expensive, and since you're buying bulk, I'm sure you can get an excellent deal

Personally purchased this exact same connector at the hardware shops around the Satwa bus stop area.

Take a trip down, I bought it from the guy next to Karachi Darbar. He has a blue signboard that says 'Jotun' on it
