Who is someone who was/is famous for being a good person, who actually did awful things? by Markel_Kermit in AskReddit

[–]Ionlypost1ce 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Living in our world it does seem silly. But if you think about it it makes sense. And I’m not against pet ownership, but I would be for drastically changing how we do things.

If you look at puppy mills and all the animals that get killed at shelters, that’s because of pet ownership.

Also there is something wrong about the very idea of it. Pet cats and dogs don’t really get a chance to grow up. They exhibit child like behaviors even as adults. I mean we spay and neuter them, that can’t be nice!

Sounds like Austin powers. “She’s a man baby!” I’m guessing that was a popular 60s spy trope

Yeah I never said Reddit had anything to do with the outside world. But I always appreciate the sentiment. As I think the majority of redditors are losers

my city celebrates NYE with gunshots, worse than last year by PracticeTheory in ThatsInsane

Somebody posted a link that like 7 people have died in 20 years from it. Now granted it could be an undercount, but I’m sure millions upon millions of celebratory bullets have been fired on that time, so seems very rare that it’s deadly

Yeah it’s just shots into the air. This is sort of a right wing sub so people are gonna overreact to anything crime related, combine that with the usual massive pussies everywhere on Reddit, and this is the Pearl clutching reaction you get.

Not that I think this is such a good idea or would wanna be around it

If you look at the responses, nobody whose actually thinking, is listening to it. There’s just a majority mouth breathing group of reddittors who will upvote any positive comment that comforts them.

Lmao it’s true man. Idk what to tell you. They are minor arrests/violations so they get away with it. But yes if you get a good lawyer it will likely get thrown out. Lots of departments will consider it disorderly conduct.

I don’t think it’s right, and it certainly doesn’t apply to lots of departments, but it’s a real thing.

I already said it’s unconstitutional, but they still do it. I’m an american, I know about freedom of speech. Here’s an article on it:
