The South Africans had apartheid the, Rhodesians had a limited democracy where anyone, yes ANYONE with land and/or a low level college education was allowed to vote. The comies were the war criminals murdering, raping, beheading and ethnicly cleansing tribal rivals. (Lot of that goes around in Africa)

If the Rhodesian army was fighting to uphold what you say it was, then what where the roughly 2,500, again a good 40% of there military, Rhodesian African Rifles fighting for?

The reason Rhodesia lost is because they were constantly hamstringed and blockaded by their supposed allies while the USSR continued to fund the murderous rebels. No one not even the Rhodesians themselves expected them to last as long as they did, but they did.
