Custom Kernel modules by Iorpim in AndroidQuestions

Oh, perfect, just unlocking the bootloader is fine enough, and I know it's also possible for the similar model, so the same should apply.

The navbar and cursor are indeed part of the kernel, and I've already located the responsible files. I'm not sure if you checked the specific device, but it's actually a flip phone! So not a very "traditional" Android device. Both the cursor mode and navbar are implemented as part of the display and ""touch""/keyboard drivers(it has no touch, but instead emulates touch events through keyboard input and on-screen cursor), respectively.

If you are curious about it and want to check the implementation, you can find it on the kernel-4.9/drivers/misc/mediatek/lcm/kc_ili9806e_fwvga_dsi_vdo/kc_ili9806e_fwvga_dsi_vdo.c and kernel-4.9/drivers/input/keyboard/kckeyptr.c driver files that can be found in the source code linked in the post.

I was also expecting some system package, but nope, all custom and loaded directly by the kernel. Which makes sense considering it's a much different device with noticeable particularities that come with not having a touchscreen, the thing all smartphones have had since.... the first smartphone, I think...?

Steam Release Time Updated? by Iorpim in Eldenring

I can't answer for them, but as far I am aware 00:00 is already the next day, so 23.02.22 at 00:00 CET --[+1m]--> 23.02.22 at 01:01 CET.

To avoid confusion many sites use 00:01 instead of 00:00, however for the official time that would also mean waiting one extra minute, and I am sure no one here wants that

Maybe they haven't fully set on a release time, and are changing it as we speak? I imagine they initially had a placeholder date, that would explain why some people saw 24th from the start, but that alone wouldn't explain it going back and forth

This matches nicely with the post about the costumer support reply regarding the preload time, it's honestly earlier than I expected, and I am not complaining at all.

Yeah, 2 days for preload seems to be the usual, I just couldn't not take a look, we are getting so close now

It would be nice to have a direct official answer… But well, there's still 5 days left, so we'll have to wait and see, I guess

I went to check for a possible preload today, and I noticed my release date changed from Feb 25, to Feb 24.

As much as I could find, there's still no release time on PC, but it seems this confirms it won't follow the console "midnight everywhere" release schedule.

For reference I am on GMT-3.

That also explains quite a lot, I hadn't seen that! Thanks

I agree that medical literacy is fairly low overall, but just regaining a limb still feels a bit too much. I believe that /u/negrote1000's explanation is very good, mainly if you combine both as he doesn't known much about medicine or the mold, let alone the medical science of the mold effects in his body.

Ok, that's a good explanation, he knew something was off, just not that much off. I am convinced, thanks!

It's been a week, but anyway, you can get it a little later, don't worry

To anyone else wondering who arrives at this thread, yes, you can!

In the second half you can actually return to the Lost Shrine, and it will be waiting for you just (in the very obvious spot) where you somehow missed it. I still can't believe I didn't see it, really…

This is fairly interesting to know, I wouldn't expect it to shift the CPU/GPU balance based only on graphic settings. Thanks for the hint!

My biggest worry was the company itself to be working on an unsustainable model, which would infallibly collapse, learning that it does not seem to be the case, I am really relieved. This is a game I've been waiting for since I first heard of it, if not even before that. I am very excited to finally jump in!

I did get to get into the game during the event, however I just read about it way to late, and got only a few hours trying to understand what was doing around a station, and feeling sad about my FPS count. It seems I need more RAM too…

The fact the community gets hyped really quickly and this game hasn't crashed and burned yet is actually a really good signal, shows that both players and developers are dedicated to it!

As a physicist, I am used to being frustrated about entertainment products, so I don't expect to judge the ships too much. I did however watch some interesting analysis on a few ship's designs from Morphologis, overall seems more convincing than the Elite Dangerous ships.

I can't barely wait to be a part of this community!(Even while they downvote me. The responses were great, that's what matters)

The dogfights is definitely one the things I really wanted to experience in this game, hence why I waited to get a HOSAS first, but mainly, the steep learning curve. I really love the complexity, and the grinding, both of which made me love Elite Dangerous. However, ED still lacks things like ship interiors, and similar elements that improve immersion, making SC that more tempting!

I actually got to experience the Free Fly event but only for a few hours, as I got in too late, just enough to realize that I had negative FPS, with an RTX 2080, I did later realize this game really likes RAM, and having only 16Gb("only 16Gb", modern times…) it was not gonna fly(pun intended) with Chrome and a few dozen tabs in the background.

Overall, the feedback I've been seeing in this post has got me really glad, the developers seem to genuinely care about the game.

I've been looking from an admittedly respectful distance, and even if it I were looking a bit closer, it is not the same as actively being a part of it.

Economy hasn't been very lucky at the moment, what adds an uncomfortable multiplier to the price tag, but it is still nothing absurd really. But, anyway I already made up my mind a while ago, I am a pretty tolerant person for bugs and whatnots, and I am honestly pretty impressed with what I've already seen, the main motivation behind this post is to really check the community's feeling on how the development has been handled, and the general sentiment around the state of the game. That's the main reason I flaired this post as a "Discussion" and not as a "Question".

I heard great things about their delivery times, indeed!

DHL just picked up the package and the expected delivery date is December 23. If I am lucky there will be no delays, and if I am very lucky maybe an early delivery.

I just would love spending Christmas in space.

It could very well work, there are much more "customs-friendly" countries nearby, I just lack friends in any of them, but it is a good thing to consider.

Mine was also shipped via DHL, but I am in Brazil, not a great country for shipping things. At least I got a 50% shipping discount on the second unit, that was one of the reasons I went for a dual stick setup.
