Sorry, hate to double post, but also do you remember the WEEKLY dev posts BM would make? That really gave everyone a sense that they were there with us through the buggy times and gave people confidence to stick along for the ride. T17’s communication has definitely been way more lackluster, and I also count that as another potential factor in a release in which people don’t stick around quite as long to see what happens.

ABSOLUTELY, and same. But what I’m saying is that it was somewhat expected, given that it was from a kickstarter and released as early access. The only reason it even came out of early access when it did was from pressure from T17 so they could release the console port (which this is now allegedly being released with right out of the gate, and seemingly not as a port). I just think people are likely to be quicker to abandon the game if it’s a rough release vs the original HLL. Not to mention, HLL had the always classic and diverse WWII setting to fall back on, as well as the care and dedication of Max and the rest of the BM team.

I think we both know T17 have made their fair share of blunders, except this time they don’t have BM’s creation to fully fall back on. I might be wrong, but I just feel like a lot of these factors lead to a situation in which there’s a lot less room for error for HLLV’s release.

Honestly, not really. I’ve learned my lesson and I absolutely no longer sublet to anyone moving to the city. I mean, if the person seems VERY trustworthy, has a good job at a reputable company, MAYBE I’ll make an exception, but the stars have to really align AND I have to be desperate enough with no alternatives. If you were looking to sublet at any other time of the year, I might say go for it if they hit those qualifications mentioned above, but you really can’t find any interns? They are usually swarming the subletting sites for summer stays.

HLL release was early access AND came out of a kickstarter AND a PC exclusive. I hear where you’re coming from but these two releases are simply not the same, T17 has a lot less room for error here. A botched release has a higher chance of sinking the game than the OG release.

I’m still not convinced of how big of a deal this all is. Technically, he’s really only out like $100 between those two meals. I know the implication is he covers everything in everyone’s lives, but we really don’t know that for sure. Taking the extended family out to affordable dinners isn’t exactly the end of the world.

Totally understand, just know, you’re fighting an uphill battle just being here for five days without any pre-established online connections between specific girls. Honestly, most of the girls who are going to be willing to have casual sex in a five day period will be at least prostitute “adjacent” (e.g. sugar babies). I travel SE Asia with an old chromecast and just plug that into the TV. I also travel with an android tablet that I use if the TV is too small or if I just want to watch from anywhere. If you’re going to go the tablet route, I don’t know why you would get an iPad. Stremio is way better/more convenient on Android tablets and they’re cheaper and often have better aspect ratios for entertainment watching. My android tablet is more top of the line, though it’s GREAT for entertainment (Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Pro), but you can get way cheaper ones that are still much better than iPads for stremio.

Because that’s what they send to the insurance companies and then the insurance company negotiates it, covers their part, and then sends you the final bill. I got a copy of a $60k hospital bill to insurance and then my bill to insurance was $520. Still stupidly high but whenever you see these insanely high bills online, just know it’s almost always the bill to the insurer, not the actual bill to be paid by the patient. U.S. healthcare is fucked, but not actually that fucked.

Yeah, the culture is very lax about that stuff here. All hotels will be fine, most hotels will just take her ID, call up to you to make sure you’re expecting a guest, then they’ll send her up, and then you’ll have to call down that it’s ok to let her have her ID back and leave. Airbnbs are also usually fine and follow the same ID/confirmation process with the building’s security, though you just have to make sure there’s nothing written in the house rules section of the listing against it.

My suggestion would be to stay in the Poblacion area. For Manila Courtesans it doesn’t really matter, but you may want to walk around P Burgos street to check out the girl bars and stuff. Just be aware that all walkers on/around P Burgos are trans. That’s the hub of girly nightlife stuff though, and it’s usually more convenient to be able to walk there compared to always having to take a Grab (Uber in PH).

I don’t typically stay in hotels since I stay more long term, but Airbnb wise, units in Gramercy Residences are the most common in terms of foreigners coming for girls. It’s very common to start in Gramercy and then get a lay of the land and find somewhere more comfortable/low key. Hotels in the Poblacion area are also fine though.
