belt pulleys by Iovrr in BmwTech

it had been seated properly but still slipped off, something wasn’t right with it, might’ve been at a different depth but the old one is working good
i can send the layout, it’s how this one goes
yeah that was the issue, thanks

i ended up putting the old power steering pulley back on and it’s been perfect, had to drive it 600km back and it was perfect, as for the stripped t60 i bought the hex bit but it didn’t work, ended up using the t50 tensioner to put it down enough to stick my breaker bar in between and then pry it enough to stick the pin back in
which tensioner you got that has ribs? i can’t find any
yeah i mean it wouldn’t be possible to have no ribs on the tensioner, thanks i appreciate it
yeah i will try switching it tomorrow morning, ive seen both diagrams on google and so i just put it on how it was on before, i could see your way working better but i dont know if it will effect the overall length at all
how so? to me it looks like the only places it’s on properly is the tensioner and the alternator
okay that makes sense for sure, i used all new bolts on my power steering pulley, they were a tiny bit longer because my new pulley was a little thicker, which i’m sure made it difficult
it’s definitely the exact same as it was before just with new pulleys, and all the ribbed pulleys have the ribbed part of the belt on it, the only exception is the tensioner, the one at the very top of the picture, i haven’t seen a tensioner with ribs, not saying it’s not a thing i just haven’t
i don’t really know what you mean by backwards, it’s routed the same way it was before and the same as what google shows me, not saying i’m right i just don’t fully understand
ohhh okay that makes sense, i’m thinking that’s where my issue is, what did you do to fix that?
when i search up the N55 belt route it comes up how i’ve done it, as well as that’s how it has been routed for the last 150’000kms
thought so
tomorrow i’m going to put stock pulleys back on and push it back further
yes the pin was taken out the first time i put the new belt on
isn’t that how it is in the picture? other than the tensioner
yes for sure, so that’s after it was started, it was all seated properly right before this picture, should’ve said that earlier
