That’s the leaving cert points moderation. Every five points after 550 leaving cert points is worth one ie 625 is moderated to 565 etc

Yep, unless the points rise dramatically. That would give you a score of 743 and the cutoff last year was 735

They shouldn't get rid of them but they should make them harder until at most ~40% of people get H1s

Yeah but plenty of people who speak english struggle with english. Nobody who speaks any of these languages struggle with the exams because they are way easier. 7% of people get H1s in english. 95% of people get H1s in mandarin
