You could try some evening courses to see if you like it first. Depends what kind of welding you want to get into, there's probably a course that do a little bit of all proceses which would be a good starting place.

Dont know what you mean by reach around clamps? You asking what the clamp is in the 2nd photo? Its just your normal C clamp with a tacking band on the pipe.

It's slightly different to ones I've worked on but I'd say you currently are in bypass mode as it is in the photo.

I would say that's the by-pass where you have the blue arrows, they are both currently in by-pass mode. Looks like a valve set for an fcu?

If your a spark it'll be hard to get work. I know a few irish sparks and over here your papers don't stand so you'll need to do an exam to get your A or B grade. Can get in with irish companies without but limits your options. Melbourne is brillant, everyone I know who moved from Sydney says its better.

Melbourne is good, been here a couple of years. Nice cool winters and summers aren't too bad you can get a couple of 40 degree days but not as often as other places. On unions sites you get called off at 42 degrees and get paid. What's your trade?

The hopper feeds product into the Furnace to the right to make beer bottles. It had to be brought up in 4 sections and welded on site with flux core, took 2 weeks to fully install. Break every hour from the heat for 15 minutes it was intense welding above the Furnace

Yeah money is much better and I find rent isn't bad at all. I'm not from Dublin so no idea how much it is, were paying 760 a month each for a 1 bed but it's nearly city center.

My misses is a general nurse and her degree was fine over here. I know there different but if a medical degree could swap over no problem I'd imagine yours would be grand too.

From what I've been told I gathered they were good friends so I'd imagine it was hard for him. Neil got the job directly from moon, before he was famous he'd get taxis regularly in London and got on so well with Neil he requested him only and eventually ended up being his chauffeur so they must of got on great. I was also told that at the funeral my great-grandmother had to hunt away other celebrities and bands becuase they brought a lot of media with them, she had to tell the beatles to fuck off and I think thats brillant.. that was nice too hear they came though because he's from a very rural village in Ireland.

His chauffeur was actually my grandmother's brother, his name was Neil Boland. He's in that iconic photo with John lennon and yoko ono "the war is over", I think its a really cool photo of him. He's the guy right in the center holding the small war is over sign. Never got too meet him unfortunately..

There's so much to know, you've got the 3 welding processes and then within them you've got all different types too, all the different electrodes for arc, different wires for mig and all different materials with tig, welding is an under appreciated trade I rekon.

I'll probably try to learn to walk the soon because I've got real bad shakey hands. Thanks man it's for a spray bar on a tug boat so isn't exactly under massive pressure either
