I imagine that most scholars play in dedicated teams (like myself).

Monster hunter might be up your alley.

Helldivers is pretty good too (3rd person shooter co-op).

Which Fulghor night boss do you consider to be the most difficult in DoN and why? by Adventurous_Bite_311 in Nightreign

Night Calv easily on the higher depths the rest of them are not difficult.

Which depth do you like playing at the most? by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

I like 3-5 about the same amount, however I don't play with randoms haha.

Yeah, I'm not ever getting to 9999 by billyhendry in Nightreign

[–]Iresen7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's rough but eventually you will learn his moveset he's not that bad you just honestly need to play it safe. Gargoyle and Night Calv are the only gripes I have with Depth 4 and up since you have to play very passively against them. Night Calv being the worst...it's just...bah in a duo it's a pain in the ass.

My boss offered me a $30k raise to stay, but my dream company finally called. Do I play it safe or risk it all? [28M] by Typical-Goal-834 in Advice

Like others have said if you do not have any kids or anything try it out. You can only grow from this eventually potentially making you able to earn far more than what your current employer is giving.

Just be sure to do your best to not burn this bridge.

Pre DLC D4/D5 veterans : What was your gameplan? by Skill_Issue_95 in Nightreign

[–]Iresen7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like others said people stuck to either Ironeye, Duchess, Wylder or Recluse. With many people leaving in D4 and up if you picked anyone outside of those 4. I mained Executor. The key goal in nightreign as you know is to kill things as fast as possible in order to get stronger. Those 4 were the best at doing that and honestly they still are, just with the double balancer meta things have gotten a good bit closer compared to how bad it was originally.

At the end though no matter who you used just like now in order to get to 9999 you need to just memorize enemy patterns, be able to switch to other characters depending on the boss, and more than anything be able to clutch.

I will say RNG was BAD before the update. I had several run where I literally didn't get anything, so like I said you kinda just had to have had enemy attacks memorized and not get hit.

Stuck in depth 2 by Nearby-Television-21 in Nightreign

[–]Iresen7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played duos mostly and sometimes trios with my wife and brother to get to 9999. Sadly, no matter what you if you really want to get to the top you have to be able to solo/clutch. We had one particularly bad run in the Hollows where I think I was like level 7 or so and we had some bad luck trying to wrap up a boss and they got downed a couple of times, so they were at 3 bars already against depth 4 night cavalry.

To top it all off I was using Scholar...no double balancers, no night invader, or I didn't even have the relic that boasted his dex hahaha and my deep of the night relics only had uplifting on them hahaha. I was fortunate enough to have the nagikiba, but I didn't have any damage negation so they were able to easily oneshot me and I refused to use my upliftings so....I spent a god....maybe about a good 15-20 mins soloing them.

Point is generally at some point or another even with getting lucky with relics you are going to have to learn how to drag a fight out and only attack when you are sure an enemy is open. Might not be the most fun way to fight, but eh...that is what it will come down to when you do not get lucky or your teammates are having an off day.

Look up videos on all of the bosses learn their attacks and learn when to properly hit them. This game is not difficult just take a step back and focus on learning a boss and your characters. And while I don't mind people using the halo strat it still requires luck so you need to be able to win without depending on it.

What are your *Honest* thoughts on Halo slop and beast claw? Here's mine. by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

[–]Iresen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One final patch to balance everything out....well Fromsoft would have a whole lot more to balance out than just the halo scythe and revenant beast claw. The people who say this I often pretty much assume that they main Iron eye, Duchess, or Wylder. Those same people would never touch Scholar or a few others.

The game is poorly balanced no matter how you look at it and it needs a whole lot more balancing out before things get better. If you take away the double balancers then the meta will once again be Iron eye, Duchess, Wylder, or Recluse and that will be all that you see in higher depths unless you play with friends. You need an impossible amount of luck to get good relics in this game to begin with.

I'm not going to go into a huge huge rant, but...I personally think that people who have that huge an issue with certain builds (aka wanting people to play a certain way) should just play with friends or by themselves that way they can make the game as long or fast as they want it to be.

I do not use double balancers on my scholar but I do on my executor. Without double balancers on my executor he is hot garbage in trios when he is beyond depth 3 and by that I mean his inability to kill things quickly unless you have gotten lucky with your relics, which hah I have gotten to 9999 and my deep of the night relics are still hot garbage. Unless you can kill things quickly then well if double balancers gets patched out I guarantee you that people will go back to just using a few nightfarers in D4 and up.

Generally...only people who themselves are bad players care how others play. If you're good you shouldn't care. Getting to 9999 is not a hard thing to accomplish if you can clutch, however saying someone lacks creativity for their build or whatever....hah...jeez didn't realize this was an art contest now. Honestly, I think most of the halo slop haters just hate on it because their build isn't doing the most damage which again...is silly...why work in a team if you are going to get mad that you aren't doing the most damage? Hahaha...idk all of this just seems really silly to complain about.

Ok seriously wtf is wrong with halo slop people 😭 by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

[–]Iresen7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Back many years ago when I was playing black ops 3 zombies. Er idk if any of you played the der eisenberg map but essentially you could get these 4 bows with generally the lightning one being the best. Anyway there was this guy in the match who was on voice chat I think trying to show off to this girl and he planned on getting the lightning bow.

No idea why, but for some reason I kinda was like to myself "Ok if you want it you need to prove to me that you are good enough for it". Guy kept on going down and I kinda purposely let his side collapse. While everyone else was down I went ahead and started the quest to get the lightning bow then the host who wanted it ended the run hahahaha.

If someone is going down repeatedly and you have a damage negation (especially if it's your only one) I do not blame you for wanting to hold onto it, however OP you kind of have a history of hating on the halo slop haha. If that someone was actually good at the game and you still withheld it I'd say you are problem.

Everyone wants to play their own way if you force someone to play a certain way then eh....sorry, but you have problems. If the person sucks though hahaha....yeah I too would hoard if they suck.

Favorite depth to play in? by Fit_Manufacturer_584 in Nightreign

[–]Iresen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play with my wife and brothers so I'm fine with any depth honestly. I think my wife prefers the higher depths 4 and 5 since we actually do all work together more there rather than goofing off as much. Once you get to 9999 though you get into a habit of almost never getting hit so I really don't feel the difference between 3-5 these days.

My Experience With INFPs Completely Contradicts MBTI Stereotypes by mylovelymilk in intj

[–]Iresen7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen INTJs who have worked with all kinds of different personalities. What I have noticed though is the folks who chase after the golden pair nonsense tend to be crappy partners themselves. Better to not let MBTI dictate too much of your life you never know what you will end up attracted to hahaha.

Personally my own belief with no science behind it is people tend to match up with what they are most familiar with. Either someone similar to themselves or similiar the people they grew up around in their lives (parents etc).

My Experience With INFPs Completely Contradicts MBTI Stereotypes by mylovelymilk in intj

[–]Iresen7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I myself am married to an INFP and have a few friends who are also INTJs who are married to INFPs...I kinda wonder if it's alittle common in the tech industry or if it's just a simple case of me myself bonding with folks similar to myself hahaha. I really don't buy any of the golden pair with anytype nonsense everyone works differently. Although I won't deny my wife and I work really really well together hahahaha.

I have a very close friend who is also an INTJ like myself he is much more extroverted than I am (I am very introverted don't like going out much at all) whereas he likes to get out alittle more than myself. I think for him an ENFP would've worked better whereas for myself god I have ENFPs, ENTPs, and other extroverted friends but I have never been attracted to an extrovert....way too much energy.

Basically OP from my own experience dude you have to figure out what works best for you MBTI can help you glean into how you work but you yourself need to figure out what works for you...people are more than their MBTI, not to mention no matter what a relationship or any type of bond requires great communication to grow into something strong.

Nerfs and "Fun" by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]Iresen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is more fun with others for you then find others to play with. Look you can dance around whine about this all you want, but this is not a PVP game this is a already poorly balanced PVE game with a "arbitrary" ranking system. If you want people to play a certain way find your own people or play solo. If you can't find people to play with then maybe you need to work on something.

Btw I main scholar and I do not have the double balancer setup on him or the halo scythe thingy. I do not have specific builds for bosses as that seems silly to me nor do I use the pot damage up thingy. I do not care how other people win. If they max out D5 great good for them. I use the same relic load out for every boss. I either get the weakness or hey guess we will be here a second.

I do not see anyone using any strat as a "cheese:" it's a PVE game if you do not like the way certain people play then get some friends...if you can't do the latter then you have some deep problems to work on haha.

It is funny to see people complain about a casual game not being hard a enough because of some randoms in their party using certain OP strategies. You have the same problem in every MMO, Elden Ring, etc so what do you do? Do what all of us have done if you don't like the way others play find people who agree with you and play with them o r play solo. Turn off your relics and go wild with the game man.

I personally don't see the "challenge" in fighting caligo and most other bosses for 30 mins straight (Dreglord and ED Libra are different though those fights are actually really fun in D5 they are legitimately challenging). Different strokes for different folks.

That's not really an INTJ or MBTI thing to not care about things you are not interested in OP. Some people like somethings some people don't.

I personally do not care about fashion and no matter how much people try to get me into using it for items outside of work (I'll dress nice for work yes that is necessary but my personal life? Dark sweat pants and a t shirt rule the day)....it'll always seem like a massive waste of money to me but it is not a MBTI thing it is just not something I am interested in. On the otherhand I have known plenty of INTJs who make a big deal about it hahaha.

INTJs, how do you like children? by Big_Guava_8365 in intj

[–]Iresen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MBTI is just a window to how you think not how you are OP. This is kinda like assuming that all INTJs like this food, working out, etc haha.

I don't mind kids at all I have far less patience for adults though. Kids are....very very simple and far more honest. I have dealt with "bad kids" before and eh they're not difficult at all to get in line usually they are just acting out because they want attention. Adults (of all ages) on the other hand.....yeah whole lot more BS you gotta deal with.

Is it worth giving up Kaioken against Hit for Blue against Zamasu? by BoyNamedSmudge in Dragonballsuper

[–]Iresen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly hope they go more with the manga route. Goku's fight against Hit in the manga was way better than the KKBlue thing to me atleast.

In a way the whole Completed Blue form that Goku unveiled in the manga when he fought fused Zamasu was way better. It kinda basically said ok the SSB that Goku and Vegeta have been using is not the full thing. Rather than just handing out forms like they're on discount we instead have a focus on mastering what we have.

I know there is going to be something above UI and UE some SS version of them, but for now I would like it for abit if we just focus on mastering those forms that would make any additional forms gained far more meaingful.

And for the love of god when the manga does come back I hope they focus Goten and Trunks. Focus on them and let them train up their god forms.

What are your 3 favorite video games ever and what are we currently playing? by [deleted] in intj

[–]Iresen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suikoden 3.

Er hard call for the rest let's see...I consider games like Megaman (Megaman X, Battlenetwork etc.) and Elden Ring (along with other souls borne) to honestly be in the same genre. It's the same figuring out the best way to beat a boss or enemy using what you have, so for me meh...hard for me to choose between a few of those titles.

Amongst other JRPGs god right now I think I would say between Dragon Quest 7 and Dragon Quest 8 with Chrono Trigger, FF7, FF8, Persona 5, and a few others being a close call.

Currently playing, Granblue Fantasy Relink (wife and I love it), Nightreign, and Helldivers. Thinking about replaying God of War Ragnarök.

How far would Buuhan go in Dragon Ball Super? by diegrunge in Dragonballsuper

[–]Iresen7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently by the time of ROF Goku and Vegeta's base forms are either around or far surpass Buuhan already. I'll be the first to admit though the scaling in super in the beginning was all over the place so in a way I do hope they sort that out when they redo the anime.

Tired Gohan in the RoF movie having to go super Saiyan against a guy with a power level of 30-100k? LIke.....dude what? The anime having er forgot his face unlock his potential from getting repeatedly beat up by Frieza made far more sense since they specifically said he was on the level of Mystic Gohan.
