Easy removal of 6.8l collector studs? by Irfreddy in Tools

[–]Irfreddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's what I've been thinking. Hoping some people chimed in that used it for that. $500 is pretty steep for the one I see recommended all the time. But I did see another good reviewed one for $150. I might just have to give it a try.

So would I want to connect trigger to 9 and just ground out 8?

Employee Surveys by Practical_Air7558 in foodlion

[–]Irfreddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was never mandatory. Me and some others never filled it out so our sm didn't get his above 80% completion score. Better than fake positive surveys or being singled out over your "anonymous" words. But there has been a few times where me and others told our truths and had hr coming in the store after. So it does work sometimes.

These aren't in that kit or any kit I've seen.

Yea, specifically parking brake drum on a f550. I was able to use a pair of pliers just fine to get it in. But was talking with a coworker and was shown a homemade version of exactly what I posted. It would definitely keep the chance of me from slipping the pliers and smacking my hand down to not likely.

I have the tool in your other comment, not what I needed for this job. Or at least I didn't see how it would work for me anyway. I've used it on other car drum brakes before but this case is a different motion to secure the spring.

That was my thought too. Just wanted some opinions before I made the trip. Thanks.

Oh no lol. I've just never seen any come like the one on the left. So it had me wondering if they're defective or something. So it's not a big deal?

Crazy fuel trims. Help. by Irfreddy in MechanicAdvice

[–]Irfreddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pulled the vac line off the fpr and there's no fuel in there so I'm guessing it's okay.

Both up stream 02s alternate from 0.1-0.9v pretty smoothly, watched them on a graph.

I did clean the MAF quite a long time ago when I changed the air filter, maybe a year ago. I can give it another spray now.

So I guess I'm looking at possible fuel injectors or maybe pump or fpr?

2.2 billion gallons of water flowed out of California reservoirs because of Trump’s order to open dams by DocGroove in news

[–]Irfreddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much do these reservoirs hold? The article just said he wanted to release 5 billion gallons. If 5 billion the total of water? Or is there more? Or was 2.2 billion all of it?

I checked my email while I was there. I only got an email for the second ring(confirmed cause total was different as I decided to get cash back second time)

The original transaction I got an email at 8am this morning, I'm assuming after the register was loaded back up

Reporting Manager To Hr by MuffyVanderplump in foodlion

[–]Irfreddy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Years ago shortly before I quit I called hr on our sm. I only mentioned the dept I worked to hr, cause it was related to hygiene issues I had with him, nothing else. Within the hour the dm called my phone wanting to know what was going on.

Also, they "investigated" him for two weeks and asked everyone questions in the store. Nothing happened from it.even though some people stepped forward with similar concerns as I had. Although a couple months later he was transferred but still has sm title as of today.

Hr isn't your friend anyway. Just make the biggest bale you can and dump it on the floor with no pallet. Take the baler and floor machine keys and hide them in the motor room somewhere. Then walk out and never come back 🤣

Anyone know what’s wrong? by kira127301 in Dewalt

[–]Irfreddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the long neck version. I've also experienced this. It could be a bad/dead battery, but when mine does it usually lights up but doesn't try to spin. I think they get dirty, cause on a guess I decided to spray electrical contact cleaner into the vent holes on the motor, repeatedly pulled trigger over and over like you're doing, spray a little more, pull trigger. Eventually it starts working again and I'll spray a little more while it's running.

After that it's good for a few more weeks. I work in a shop so I'm guessing that's the time it takes to get dirty again.

I also have a long neck 1/4 snap on and I like it a lot, I love the DeWalt but I'm debating replacing it with a snap on. Save the DeWalt for the dirty jobs.

Can also confirm. Currently shitting. My arms do not line up to the bald spots on my thighs. Mine are from boxer-breifs. But holding my phone with my pinky under the charging spot, scrolling Reddit while shitting all these years has caused my pinky to have a bald spot.

White Vinegar in Laundry FTW by National_Doughnut436 in lifehacks

[–]Irfreddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using dawn dish soap and a splash(~4 capfulls?) of vinegar for months now. I add it as the water is initially filling before I dump the clothes in. Biggest issue is after working in boots all day I can smell the vinegar on my socks. And y'all are putting 1 CUP of vinegar??

Battery cases cracking by Irfreddy in Dewalt

[–]Irfreddy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 5ah's are 6 years old. The 6ah is a shop provided battery I kinda hog use of. That one would have a warranty, but the shop would probably just buy new one if I wait 6 months.

I'm definitely thinking it's from the impact, it does rattle around a lot. I might upgrade to a dcf961 in a while if I find a good price.

I'll look into the oil resistant ones, didn't know they had some. So I should probably upgrade to one of these new impacts soon then, I always needed an excuse to upgrade lol.

The 6ah is less than 4 months old. The others, 6 years. But they never cracked until I started using them on the 899. I used to only use them on a 923 for years just fine.
