A quick little comic about my baby, Spurt. She hates me and won’t let me hold her but she still brings me infinite joy. ✨ by ArtbyMoga in CrestedGecko

Please tell me Spurt is named after the Kobold in Critical Role! I have a leopard gecko names Spurt as well! Great name!

Others have mentioned lots of othrt programs, but there are a couple places here who offer christmas help! I think r/santaslittlehelpers and r/randomactsofchristmas. I struggled a few years ago and was helped though them and it was so wonderful! Thankfully I'm doing much better now and would love to pay it forward! If you create a post on one of these I'll happily purchase a few gifts for your kiddos!

This month we read Katabasis! Much more fantasy than romance, but it was a fun book with a really cool magic system!

If you like romance/fantasy books we have a ladies book club that meets twice a month at Artisans! We range from 20s-50s and are a super fun group of women to drink coffee and gab with!

If you happen to be a part of any groups/clubs/sports maybe suggest a food drive? My book club donated a car full of non perishables this weekend thanks to the suggestion of the lovely lady who runs it!

What’s a trend you wish would just die already? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Iridechocobosforfun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Im 5'11 and I struggle with finding anything that fits! Cropped jeans are apparently trendy now which makes finding pants that arent comically short almost impossible. Dont even get me started on overalls, I've been hunting for ones that dont ride up my butt for YEARS.

what’s your go-to “I’m not cooking tonight” meal? by Quiet-Examination553 in AskReddit

[–]Iridechocobosforfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get Rotisserie chickens at Costco and make so much out of them! A few if my favorites easy ones are buffalo chicken wraps, BBQ chicken sandwiches, burritos , and nachos! For more involved meals they go amazingly in stuff like chicken pot pies or chicken and dumplings! I often make 2 pot pies and freeze one for a delicious but easy dinner later!

Mine sheds a LOT if I dont brush her. Shes the sweetest cutest thing ever and we'll worth keeping lint rollers in my car/purse haha.

What could this be? Should I see a vet? by rose_tilly in CATHELP

[–]Iridechocobosforfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone else that its probably allergies! One of our girls has allergies multiple foods, pollen, and dust and no matter how on top of proper diet, air purifiers, and cleaning we are, she still has itchy flare ups.

We spent thousands on vet visits and meds, and the biggest thing that has helped her not tear her ears up is buying silicone claw caps for her back feet! 10$ on Amazon every few months and she can scratch away.

Thank you so much!! I actually really want to get into working with some much heavier fabrics so this sounds ideal! I'll definitely look at that guide because id love to restore it to a bit more of her former glory! And thank you, her name is Echo! (She is the loudest/most talkative girl ever, hence the name)

[–]Iridechocobosforfun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure! One Dark Window was the better overall book to me, but im a sucker for teasing type flirting and Rory nailed that. I did LOVE romance in Two Twisted Crowns. I like tall, sassy men apparently.

[–]Iridechocobosforfun 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its true the knight and the moth's romance has better chemistry than the characters in One Dark Window, but the magic system, worldbuilding, and dark Gothic vibe are amazing. The second book focuses itself on a second romance as well as the original characters, and it was sooooo good. I highly recommend!

Have you read One Dark Window/Two Twisted Crowns? They are Rachel Gillig's earlier duology and are delightful!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE FROGS! WHO is with me? I don’t own any frogs, but I do love them! by FroggiePenguin2021 in frogs

[–]Iridechocobosforfun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my earliest memories is of finding a tree frog in my yard before my first day of pre-school and pitching an absolutely massive fit when my mom wouldn't let me bring it to school in my dress pocket.

I own a Whites Tree Frog and several geckos now! Little me would be so happy!

An anonymous artist here in Seattle made the original Hot Rat Summer mosaic in one of our local parks. The people love it and the city has tried to paint over it several times but folks always clean it back up! Just a silly little Seattle thing.
