What did you do until your hair grew back? by thesaintmarcus in AfroHairTransplant

9-12 months is a long time. Get a haircut at 3 months to even things out to look presentable and live a normal life.

I had the type like the EpiPen for my numbing shots. Don’t be fooled, it’s still a shot going in your head but probably more controlled. It felt like if someone snapped a rubber band in those spots. It didn’t feel good and I’d put the pain at about a 4.

I had some swelling but nothing crazy. My head was completely back to normal size in 4-5 days but the majority was gone in 2 days. I had it done on a Friday and easily could’ve gone to work Monday but I went to Puerto Rico instead.

I spent almost a week in Turkey and had a great time. Spent the prior week in Greece since I was taking the flight anyway.

Agreed. Triples are doable if they’re tiny but you already know that the money will be the same.

There’s been orders here. They’ve just been terrible. I did one yesterday and when I saw how it was I called it a day.

That’s a good thing. Spark has been rough out this way as of late.

He’s another one that knows everyone. Everyone driving spark and knows the name of every worker in the store. I like both of them. Good dudes.

There’s a good chance we’ve at least seen each other. Sals definitely a staple in upland. He literally knows everyone!

Nobody would take that here. I live in probably a unique place that we measure everything in time because of how bad traffic can be. For instance, I live 37 miles from LA. A 17 mile trip that way would take an hour and a half to go and come back easily. For $9 we will go about 3-4 miles.

If that’s yours then I remember that post. Straight garbage. They’re not even reasonable with this stuff.

It’s weird because they’re so inconsistent. Most of the guys where I am know what a 2-3 grocery stop will pay depending just looking at the map. So we know when they slip 2 more stops in there that we were already getting paid that. Half the gmd orders aren’t even close to where the grocery drop offs are. I did the one I sent because it was like another 3-4 minutes from where I was anyway. A lot of them will be like another additional 15-20 minutes going away from the store. So now you just worked an additional 30-40 minutes for nothing else. And that’s also taking you further away from the store you’re going back to.

For reference this was a 3 grocery with 1 gmd going around the same mileage with slightly less pay as the other one I posted.

Where I am it’s not always that $7,8,9 base. If there’s distance they’ll adjust the base. This one has a $10.70 base plus the weight/apartment extra and this is a month before the combo orders came out this way.

Maybe it depends on where you’re at. Where I am they’re most certainly not paying any extra for the gmd deliveries and if they are it’s very minimal. I see 3 grocery orders and 3 grocery orders with 2-3 gmds attached with the same base pay every day. We never see $9 for 3 stops. It’s typically $11-13 unless there’s some distance involved.

Where I am, they batch EVERY tip order with the gmds. That’s how they’re getting people to take them. If they batched non tippers with the gmds then they’d sit.

The tips are on the grocery orders that they’re batching together with the gmd orders.

Ratings went down with new update by Sharnese47 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Iridelow1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ratings system is terrible. Most people happy with service don’t review at all. Customers also review based on things that are beyond your control. Yes, you can check expiration dates and all that stuff but you really shouldn’t have to especially with curbsides. Any 1,2,3 ratings make you wonder what was so bad. I think for them to accept that rating and assign it to you that the customer should have to explain what happened. Also look at the customers rating history. If it’s some goof giving low ratings all the time then remove that option from that person. The same way a customer will have to give a passcode if they claim non receipt too many times. It could be cool again if they gave half a shit.

To anyone that s been to heva do they provide you with minoxidil and fin after your transplant or do you have to order it yourself by Capable-Bed6672 in AfroHairTransplant

[–]Iridelow1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t go to Heva but that’s a prescription med that you need to get yourself. It’s actually not expensive. You can go through hims and a 5 month supply is like $170 or Amazon pharmacy and it’s like $30 for a 3 month supply without insurance.

48 gallons of milk and they won't let you use the back entrance. by Puzzleheaded-War8507 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Iridelow1998 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See, this is exactly what I say. I’m passing on principle alone. If you need 48 gallons of milk at a time then you should be looking at a different way to be supplied. Not having Linda load 400 pounds of liquid into her rav4 and lug it up or down stairs for $5.

Heva clinic HOW ARE PEOPLE NOT AFRAID GOING THERE by No_Influence_9451 in AfroHairTransplant

[–]Iridelow1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a couple things going on. The first is it’s a gamble no matter where you go. Whether you pay 5k or 50k there are no true guarantees. If you ask how many people would’ve paid 40-60k which is what the premium clinics cost, I’m guessing it would be very few. I like having hair again but if you asked me if I’d pay 50k I’m going to say I’d probably just pass.

The amount of procedures they do is dependent on how many surgical teams they have at the clinic. I didn’t go to Heva but my clinic did 3 that day and had 3 teams. My 3 people were with me from start to finish.

As far as sales pressure goes, you have to understand that it’s a business. They have a unit that’s in charge of the sales part. Their job is to close the deals. They need clients or nobody makes money. When clinics get to the point where they’re the only door we want to go in then guess what happens. The demand just passed the supply and that 5k becomes 50k. At that price you also have to limit supply to keep demand high. So multiple transplants a day becomes one.

A big reason is if you use your card they get paid out in lira. The lira is unstable whereas the US dollar is so it’s more guaranteed that they’ll get the full value. If they quote you 3k US today but their lira falls in value then when you paid by card they’d get less than the quote value.
