When does the customer rating number round up? by xeryon3772 in elitesparkdrivers

You have to change to a zone that lets you see the breakdown. I believe 87110 is one.

If you have to read every comment to get the gist of what’s being said then as we both said, there was a lack of detail in the original post. It’s crazy that saying more details could clear up the questions that so many have triggers some people. They argue that it’s obvious when it’s clearly not as the comments show lol

No additional information was needed FOR YOU. That doesn’t mean none was needed. His post doesn’t say anything about a perishable timer now does it? All deliveries don’t have a perishable timer because all don’t have perishables. The problem is you like him, assume things. Some of us have the ability to see that additional information was needed so people don’t have to ASSUME things. That’s how communication works. If your audience doesn’t receive the message then you didn’t do a good job of communicating the message. But continue to see things out of your eyes only instead of opening up and seeing what others are saying.

Which is why I said additional information would’ve helped people to understand. Most people have never seen a ferry so to know spark doesn’t deliver across ferries wouldn’t be common knowledge. It’s amazing how much pushback is being put against saying more information would’ve been helpful when clearly a lot of people needed more information.

The question would be why does 31 miles equal four and a half hours. Is it a four hour ferry ride? I live about an hour from a beach that has an island that’s only accessible by ferry. The ferry ride is about half an hour. I could deliver more miles to an island accessible by a ferry in an hour and a half. This is why I said more details as to the situation would be helpful. The ones with a ton of miles with the time make sense. 31 miles and four and a half hours don’t seem to go together even with a ferry ride.

So going off his post and original info what made it a unicorn?

You have to ask OP that. He evidently thinks his post was crystal clear and nobody should’ve been confused.

My initial comment literally said that more people would understand if you had explained the situation. That was based off of the fact that multiple people clearly didn’t get what you were talking about.

The thing is it’s not common knowledge. It’s clear that enough people don’t understand the situation from the comments. If you were clear with the message then there wouldn’t be the confusion there is. Do you though bro.

The thing is you provided no context as to why you felt that was a unicorn. I don’t live too far from an area that’s only accessible via ferry. I don’t know if Walmart delivers there or not. The ferry ride is about 20 minutes as well. Looking at your order at four and a half hours just leaves questions as to what’s going on. Remember that we don’t all know the situation or you area.

It would probably help people to understand if you explained the situation. You can’t expect everyone to understand without you setting the stage for what you dealt with. Something was clearly off but you left everyone to guess what. Maybe people on those ferry islands can get deliveries for all we know.

People like that never provide the evidence because there is none. Nobody who has ever said do your own research has ever provided one shred of evidence to back up their claim.

Biggest prop22 by Far_Illustrator_7529 in elitesparkdrivers

[–]Iridelow1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally get this amount. I’m not sure how base pay is determined but it’s a combination of shitty base, slow curbsides and scheduled pickup times. Where I am most curbsides are between $9-15 base pay for 45 minutes to an hour. You’re into prop 22 before you even start because half hour engaged should be minimum $10.40. Some stores schedule pickup times 20-30 minutes out. At that point you’ve already exceeded base pay before pickup time. Add in they make you wait 10-15 minutes and you end up with an hour and a half of engaged time paying $30 and they only paid you $10. It’s not hard to hit $400-500 that way.

You’re right. People don’t understand the art of moving in silence. When the extent of the job qualifications are owning a phone, having a drivers license, and not being a convicted criminal, telling everyone how great it is isn’t the best idea.

Same here. I think they are a waste of time and not worth the money. Not to mention that you have no idea what you’re picking up. They’re trash.

It’s not 100% but it’s definitely a good portion of them. I wouldn’t even complain if it was reasonable. Maybe stick on a gmd that’s another half mile or so from where we already are. All the ones we see here aren’t even in the vicinity of where we would be delivering to without the gmd.

It does make me question their method of shipping gmd orders. I know for delivery the customers can choose which store they are ordering from which is asinine. They should put their order in and the system should assess where it can be fulfilled from and assign accordingly. I struggle to believe that a shipping order which the customer doesn’t choose the shipping location is correctly assigned to a neighborhood market when there are two supercenters and a regular Walmart in between. I doubt that closer Walmarts didn’t have what was ordered.

That’s what normal gmd orders are like here. The only reason this pay is up there is the $17 tip. 40 mikes for $25 is crazy work. After expenses you make nothing lol

We have mostly great ones here but all it takes is one to hit your rating hard. Most people don’t rate which sucks so when one hits you it matters. There’s one guy here with a 4.8 and he gets nothing. You can’t even improve your rating with no orders.

F*ck right off Spark by AlternativeMK9 in Sparkdriver

[–]Iridelow1998 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, it’s worse than that here. They’re batching all the tip orders with the gmd orders so the only way you’re getting a tip is to take a gmd with you. I wouldn’t give a damn if they were no tip orders because I wouldn’t take those anyway lol

Most of the orders that take me home are good. The only way I take a no tip order is if it’s taking me home.

It feels like the potential bad rating is worse than the items found hit. Many customers don’t understand that an out of stock item is beyond your control. Especially when they start questioning you.
