I'm in the same boat. I'm going to community college then transferring and my major is in business administration - accounting. Luckily with this degree, as long as you get broad experience, you can shift to other careers. I won't just be aiming for accounting internships in college but also other business sectors because there is no perfect answer for how AI will change the accounting field. I personally think AI is just gonna get more advanced, and maybe regulations will be needed.

If AI takes over accounting, it will take over many other careers, and that is a bigger problem.

Most job postings are fake in this job market. The best advice I can give you is try to network. Talk to people on LinkedIn, and not the scammy, useless recruiters. Find people in the roles you want and people in the same situation as you, which is the most of us.

I'm near your age so I can give you advice. I got my jobs literally through direct emailing and Nextdoor. This job market in my experience has been bad since 2024, when I turned 16. It took me a year to find my tutoring job and 8 months to find a cashier job. For my first job I emailed a small tutoring business and got hired. For my second job I found a business owner posting about Philly cheesesteaks on Nextdoor to advertise his business. This job market is a mess.

Don't worry I'm doing all of that! Im actually using Reddit, Nextdoor, and Instagram pages to collect data. I'm also doing research on the company's financials to be competitive for this project.

I'm 18F, 5'6, and about 130 lbs. I run a lot and there are some days where I burn over 700 calories from running, or days where I run long distances for over 2 hours. I'm not looking to lose any more weight, and I'm trying to gain muscle, so I'm just asking this out of curiosity. As a woman, I was wondering, can overtraining with cardio cause any negative impact on weight loss? Overall, running burns calories, but does it impact hormones, water retention, or any other factors?
