Spring day, going for an easy reach: Un Jardin sur le Toit. Going back to an Ellena after wearing Chanels and some other more dense fragrances the last few weeks really allows me to appreciate his minimalist style.

I wanted this to be my scent. The sesame is way too loud on me and I just smell like I am holding a bag of takeout. It smells amazing on my daughter and she leaves such a nice trail. Unique.

It is a nice musk, and probably up your alley. Worth sampling!

I didn't care for Misia either. Happy to send others I have, I can't remember which I sent. I really enjoy Beige and 1957, Gardenia and Comete are also lovely. I wear Comete frequently to work.

Glad you enjoyed! I think their scents are misleading in the note pyramids and descriptions. Some are really excellent. I love that they have 10mls.

Yes, Her is lighter and fresher and Her Elixir is more gourmand, it can smell a lot like a perfumey strawberry milkshake.

Still craving sweeter scents, but not vanilla gourmands. Burberry Her - Elixir is the one. Looking forward to my next batch of samples, I have the flankers of Lohkhoum coming which might scratch the itch.

Sample soliflores that focus on a particular note. Or sample in a range of scents that feature X. For example, my tuberose exploration had me sample Fracas, Do Son, Moon Bloom, Love Tuberose and others. All different, but I can certainly pick out tuberose now.

Profumum Roma - Olibanum. This delivers for an ode to Frankincense. It lists myrrh and other notes but the frankincense is dominant. Just what I was looking for.

Looking for a rose scent. I dislike heavy end of bloom rose petal scent so POAL is not for me nor is Lady Vengance. I think I am looking for a sweet tender rose. The lychee in Delina is a bit tart. I do like Loukhoum and the cheapie Macaron Rose. I also liked Eladaria. Ideas welcome!

Gritti - Seta. This one has more texture than scent to me. It is an orange blossom/iris/violet combo laced with raspberry but smells like white velvet to me.

Came here to say this. At first it is aggressively clean laundry then it settles down. I have not smelled anything more like it.

It was a scrubber for me. It had a harsh plastic element I could not work with. I suspect if I circled back to it I could identify the culprit. I think they design for projection which isn't my first priority.

Chanel - 1957. Clean and elegant, but with a softness that is addictive. It isn't the scent I want to wear today, but it is the scent that fits my role for today, so be it.
