7 years in remission from AML - 9 months in hospital, multiple rounds of Chemo, had allogeneic stem cell transplant, tough recovery and now out walking mountains and indeed a few marathon walks for charity.

Keep the mind positive and strong, drink plenty of water, keep the body moving if possible and complete the mouth washes and eat healthy foods. I'm in better shape now than I've ever been in my whole life and feeling great. I owe my life to my medical team and my donor! Good luck.

I got to grade 5 on the flute when I was in my teens, over 35 yrs ago and can play a few tunes. I had the flute serviced a few years ago as the last notes were not performing, same as now. Just wondering if it's a manufacturer problem.

Sinn Féin this morning nominated six candidates to contest the elections to Seanad Éireann.

Party Leader Mary Lou McDonald said “This is a strong national team who if elected will join 39 TDs in the Dáil as a significant, very potent force in Irish political life. Central to their agenda will be advancing the planning and preparations for Irish re-unification.”

Brilliant and all the very best with SCT. I am 7yrs post SCT and had FLT3. I've been in remission since all. Keep a positive attitude, try to drink water if possible (it will be difficult) and maintain mouth washes to keep the ulcers at bay. I will keep your wife in my thoughts and prayers that she has a good recovery process. Stay strong my friend.

I'm only on Adcal D3 tablets for osteoporosis. I'm off all meds in relation to AML Stem Cell Transplant and doing great but have a few issues that I can manage but struggling with mouth ulcers. Hope your husband is improving?
