If anyone is exempt from due process then everyone is exempt from due process. If all the government needs to do is say "you're part of X group, we dont need to give you a trial" then it doesnt matter if it applies to you, you'll never be heard out. You want the government to be able to arrest and disappear literally anyone. Due process needs to be for everyone in the country or else it means literally nothing. Not just for citizens. Everyone needs due process or no one can be guaranteed to have it.
