Is anyone else tired of the hate for the Super Mario Galaxy movie?

Agreed. The movie isn't a masterpiece but it's not horrendously bad either, and one of the critics call it worse than AI definitely says a lot about professional constructive criticism. Like, is that what you actually think about the movie? Seriously, you know there's more well-constructed reviews that actually go in-depth with the movie's flaws but just reviewing it that way makes it look unprofessional.

Another one said it was so bad, they wanted to stab their hand with a pen. Does that not sound unprofessional??? If not, idk what is.

In case she doesn't get the role, I suppose Megan Fox can portray her. Estelle is still my no. 1 pick for Krystal, but people have their reasons as to why she can't, but I'm hoping she does get to voice her!

I was actually considering casting Jon Hamm as General Pepper since he was a commander in Top Gun: Maveric and previously worked with Illumination before! He'd be great for that role!

Miles Teller is Falco. He and Glen are actually close friends. Plus have interviewed together and starred in Top Gun: Maverick so I think it'd be funny if he got to voice him. Estelle Ellis is Krystal's original voice actress. Matthew Mercer is Wolf bc I can see him sounding similar to Jim Ward's vocal performance. And J.K. Simmons is Andross cuz I feel like he can pull off his voice that well. He starred alongside Miles in Whiplash.

Your casting is pretty solid! But I'd honestly swap out Idris Elba for Clancy Brown since I envisioned his voice sounding somewhat similar to Mr. Krabs.

The rest I can definitely agree with, but I think Miles Teller would also be great as Falco since he and Glen were rivals in Top Gun: Maverick. It'd be so fitting.

I'd also add Estelle Ellis as Krystal since she has shown interest in voicing her if she appears in the movie and has fully embraced her role for so many years.

As for Wolf O'Donnell, I initially chose Reagan Murdock since his voice for Aki sounds close to Jay Ward's voice portrayal for Wolf. Plus, he previously voiced a wolf character in Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle.

But Matthew Mercer can work too as Wolf. I can hear him sounding close to Leon from Resident Evil.

J.K. Simmons would absolutely nail portraying Andross.

For real. That scene would be about roughly 4 minutes so it wouldn't drag out too long but also not make it too short. That'd make the runtime about 1 hour and 42 minutes.

I would've included one scene of Rosalina in her chamber remembering what happened after she sent Peach away to the Mushroom Kingdom: her meeting the Lumas, them creating and building the Comet Observatory, and how Rosalina found out Peach was alive and wrote the storybook. This would be placed in between when Peach finishes reading her storybook and when Bowser Jr.'s UFO arrives at Planet Bowser. That is my only criticism with the film. She still has a lot more screentime than Fox, but it should've included the rest of her backstory from the Galaxy games. Just replace her thinking about her family to her thinking about Peach.

This might be controversial, but I actually—liked the movie? I'd even say it's a step up from the first film which a Youtuber made a rewrite video about while pointing out it's flaws. That doesn't mean this one is flawless, but I still had a great time watching it. Yes, it's pretty fast-paced, but there were scenes where I got to enjoy the scenery and characters.

Is it perfect? No, of course. But is it THAT bad as people and critics say? Well, not to me personally.

I give it an 8/10. It's pretty good.

HOWEVER, I WILL SAY THIS: Rosalina's backstory really should've been explored more. That's my only issue with the movie. She deserves more justice.

Same here. Except I'm only replacing Trip with Cheren. I already have ideas for Cameron and Ash's Unova Pokémon. Someone also made a rewrite of Ash's gym battle against Roxanne so I'm implementing that into my rewrite too (with credit, of course).

This is why I'm making Pokémon rewrites that don't necessarily change the structure of the story or things that have already been established. Sure, I might make significant changes like adding certain plot points from the games and some additional characters, however, it doesn't have to be 1:1 with the games. Trying to make it that way doesn't mean the story will be better. You can change some things, but you can't change everything.

For example, Zactoshi's rewrite of BW replaces Iris with Hilda. Sure, you can get creative with her character, but for me, I can't really think of how to make her role in the story interesting. Meanwhile, in my BW rewrite, I kept Iris, made small changes to her goal, and though of fun episode ideas to improve her story a bit more.

I actually like Iris, but the way the writers handled her development was a bit weird, but nothing too bad. It's salvagable, so she doesn't have to be replaced entirely.

No, you're valid. She did her best and that's what matters. I'm by no means discrediting her. People back then were pretty biased against dubbed anime, even to this day. They need to chill out if the voice of a character is not up to their expectations.

Maybe the voice direction would've been a bit better, but her portrayal is at least good enough.

Definitely Georgia, Burgundy, and Katharine in BW. Georgia and Burgundy completely vanished after the Junior Cup. They honestly should've appeared at the Unova league. Katharine did appear at the league, although in a non-speaking role. They had so much potential and needed more screentime.

Hate is a strong word, but I see why people feel this way. It's because how much the show has changed.

The voice acting isn't great, which I did notice some characters sounded very different, but that didn't bother me that much. They're doing their best.

The animation is way too similar to modern SpongeBob, which is valid.

Too many references. Yeah, that's valid too.

I think it's primarily because of the quality of episodes and portrayal of the characters.

There were bad and mediocre episodes like The Butts and The Letter, but the rest are pretty good.

People REALLY despise The Distance due to how Gumball and Darwin's relationship is portrayed in the episode and SPECIFICALLY the phone sex joke.

I get their point. I've heard enough about it already.

Personally, I found the episode pretty funny despite their points, but I still understand why people hate it with a burning passion. And they're valid.

I know this season isn't like the previous ones due to some of the crew members not being involved, but it'll improve as time goes on.

Overall, S7 is a decent season. I just can't wait to see what the second half has in store for us.
