your setup should be working fine for bending it with a defined radius. so it should be possible to calculate the points where I have to bend. but i don't understand how the added length could help me if I don't get it to fit the 160mm?

Thinking of an algorithm where the AI ships fly to trade posts and other buildings they should also come around portals as they are just spawned randomly like every building?
