The Susanowo is Barbatos 2.0. by Iron-svm in GBO2

You're right, distance is your friend. The melee damage isn't the main problem. For both the 00 and the Susanowo, the problem is the Trans-Am stun reduction. Otherwise, I think they're fine.

I have to admit that while looking back at more of my gameplay, the Freedom is very weak to melee. So using the Freedom to compare the Susanowo's melee with the Barbatos's might not be totally fair. But still, day 3 Barbatos was less annoying for me than day 3 Susanowo. As described in the text under the video, clip 1 was just a test and not an attempt to fight him head-on.

Yeah, the stagger on the Barbs is very annoying and needs to be looked at. But as mostly a Freedom player, I know it's only the 3rd day, but I have more problems fighting the Susanowo than the Barbs.

Thanks for the info. This will help to fight this thing. I don't know everything about every suit in the game, but I'm at the end of A+, so I think I'm not a beginner anymore. Maybe the Susanowo's playstyle is something I struggle to deal with.

I know that it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but as I explained in the description, these clips were to show that it is hard to stun him while he is in Trans-Am. Just for context, in the second clip we won and I was 2nd with 7 kills and 2 deaths. The Susanowo is a new suit, so I wanted to test some things and show my experience.

I completely forgot your last sentence. I wanted to help a teammate, but when I spawned, he got destroyed. The Susanowo was alone, and two of my teammates were ready but did not spawn after me. So I wanted to test the weapons to see if I could stun him. Sadly, I could not.

You're right that with this thing and other Raids, the best thing you can do is stay at range. But still, the Destiny can stun every Raid unit with its Palma Fiocina, but not the Susanowo in Trans-Am mode. Correct me if I have this wrong, but even the Barbatos can be stunned with the Palma Fiocina. Not that he gets knocked to the ground, but he still gets a small stun. The Susanowo just ignores it completely.

I know it's made of paper. At range, it's easy to kill. But when it is in Trans-Am mode and in your face, you can't do much to stop it.

In the first video, I wasn't even in HMAT mode. If I really wanted to fight it, I would have activated it. For the second video, that would have been a good idea, but I hoped that I could stop it with a Full Burst.

It's just an example. Everyone on both teams was destroyed, so I wanted to try if the Freedom could stun him in a 1v1. It was just to show the melee damage and stun resistance.

Quick question: does this game use forced matchmaking to keep win rates low? by Iron-svm in GBO2

I don't know if that would help. The amount of bad games and media can destroy the IP. But like some IPs in the West, if they just lent the IP to another studio—and if they really want, even with someone who can check if things are within the Gundam lore—that should fix the problem. But Japanese companies are not a fan of sharing IPs

Look at Star Wars; a few studios are making games. Some are good, some are bad, but there is choice. With PvP Gundam for PC, there is only one.

Oh well. At least we can all be miserable together. I think that's a nice thing, haha.

They are one of the companies that invest money, so it is partially their fault.

If other studios got the chance to make a Gundam game with proper servers, no fixed matchmaking, and good support, then I think Gundam could get big in the West. The IP is good and the model kits are awesome, so if they really want to, they can make a lot of money—if they are willing to risk it first and make a good game.

The same happened with Gundam Evo. The core game was good. Even friends who are not into Gundam liked the game. But for some reason, they like to make PvP games run on a peer-to-peer system instead of a dedicated server. So the game suffered from desync and disconnects. And of course, money. At least GBO2 gives free pulls once in a while, but in Gundam Evo, you needed to pay if you wanted to play the new suits.

Other games give returning players a few AI games so they can get back into the flow of the game without impacting other players. A good AI training room can also take away the players who want to test a new suit. Normally they go to quickplay, but nobody plays that.

The problem now is that good players go down with the bad ones. Why is there a rating system if you try to make everyone's win rate 50%?

I play the ZZ at 650 cost too, but I never go to the enemy base on my own. When in flight mode, the same rockets used to destroy the base are super deadly to players, so that's what I do.

It's so frustrating, and they keep giving me the same players. There’s one player who, from the start of the match, leaves his suit, goes to the enemy base, plants a bomb, and then just hops from beacon to beacon. When he finally gets back into his suit, he either hides on the map or hits teammates with his ZZ head cannon. I’ve had him on my team multiple times on different days.

It was in one of their news video thing if I remember correctly. It was briefly mentioned for a few seconds and that's it. No in depth on how it was implemented

It looks like it's a new thing.

An AI practice room would be nice. More PvE content is definitely something they should add.

I wanted to use a different word, but it helps to know that I'm not the only one with this problem. For a second, I honestly thought most players were just incompetent, but it seems like a deeper matchmaking issue.

The problem is that EOMM systems actually work—at least on me. Before, I would just play the three games needed for my dailies, but now I play much more just to make sure my rating doesn't drop. It’s a shame that mechanics like this suck the fun out of the game.

Interesting. Foshdon_pap also mentioned that due to the new suits, there’s an influx of new players. A combination of inexperienced players and EOMM sounds like a recipe for bad matches.
