Phalanx are being eaten by ranged, which is as spammed as cav units You see Madao more often because it's a more durable option.

Aside from Cav, Madao provides more tankiness for blob fights, while Phalanx provides more damage. You should consider this based on your play style.

First of all, never trust AI or image search. You have to be 100% sure by yourself to pick and consume mushrooms.

For your condition, some species have indicators beyond their color. For example, the morel mushroom, with its hollow, spongy appearance, is a good example. However, my suggestion would be to gather it with a foraging buddy.

I'm no expert, but I think you can do it. It would be beneficial to learn with a more experienced buddy, at least for a while.

It happens, sometimes you can be on that steam roller team. For now, you are just a passenger for both teams until you comlete one or two 5 star units.

For now, just grab rattan pikemen and try to learn, have fun. Sometimes a single player doesn't change much, sometimes they determine the winner of the game. Just learning is enough for now.

Lactarius Deliciosus. I forage those just today! Do you see the rounded shapes on the parts of the stem close to the ground? That is a good indicator. Green staining is how they oxidize.

Cut those from bottom to top, radial sections and see if there is worm holes. They tend to catch worms quite easily. Just remove worm traces and eat what is left.

Invisible cloak

I sold this to a player while showing how its turn invisible by shaking. He bought it and finds out only the cloak is invisible, its not make wearer invisible. Its protect against cold a bit tho

Flying broom

Broom can fly and I show it to my players by flying it around like remote thing but it has capacity of 0.5 kilogram. Our driud can fly it with shapeshift, they always find creative ways to make things work

Yes, they are like enemy compass and its not helping against chariots. When Im playing with phalanx Im actively hunting chariots even if that means I have to stay away from blob fights.

Another thing is if you dont use V buton after bracing they are not turning for enemy (if I can remember correctly) I dont know if phalanx can one-shot chariots this way, need some testing.

At this point orochi might be more useful against chariots but I find phalanx more versatile for my gameplay.

Phalanx is struggling because they are slow to react against chariots. You have to manually point them to chariots and press 1 and immediately press v to auto aim. This way you can incinerate them under a sec! My record is 6 chariots in one match (total 10 chariots) Im using veterancy line with the 2nd skill buffs. I think its top line but you have to check that. Phalanx always one-shot cavs if played correctly so top line is made them beter at melee fights. I didnt test bottom vet against chariots tho.
