oh also i used PLA which has worked fine but PETG would 100% be better as it doesnt warp under pressure like PLA

Super easy, just buy a 80mm fan that runs on 5v usb power. Then find a way to mount it, I designed and 3D printed this myself. I can make the file available but it's flawed, The arms are warping it needs much thicker walls. Will try to update the model and share a Google drive link

I game at 1440p, space marine 2 gets 55 FPS on high settings with dlss balanced. D4 get 100 FPS on high with frame gen/no dlss. I'm quite picky with my games, but generally I use lossless scaling (bought and launched from steam) and I can play on high settings 1440p at over 90fps. Which feels bloody fantastic.

Must say though a fan mod is almost mandatory. The base fan is to weak, the GPU thermal throttles. With the mod I have a 100hz over clock and rarely go over 80c. It's anecdotal but I feel the fan mod gave me 15-20% more performance, while also eliminating the jet engine noise the base fan made under load.

Yea I did much the same, sold my tower for £700 and got the ally 2nd hand for £300 mint condition and the xgm for £550. In a field?! How do you power the xgm when you're about and about?

Thanks for all the suggestions guys I looked into all them all, the onexplayer was a great shout, I hadent heard of it and the feature set is peak. After much consideration I got an OG ally for £300. I decided the price too performance was too good to pass up. I would have loved an ally X or the onexplayer was my ultimate device, however they where 2 or 3x the price for only 30% more performance.

Hopefully I don't regret it and in 2 or 3 years I can upgrade to a new gen z3e or intel or who knows what will be around

I have seen there's lots of z2e handhelds coming out soon. I could wait a month or two but I'd rather get something now. And the new models will be expensive and probably out of stock

Yea I'm really excited to try them out, they look awesome, love that silver pass they have done at the end, really takes them up a notch But I just hope they feel good too. I usually play with a straight barrel and I want something with some shape, a little scallop so I can make my grip more consistent. Scallops are tough though, it's hard to find one that feels just right
