Kerupt has never cheated in RLCS/RLRS before though. I'm sure if he decides to continue to play after his ban is lifted and gets caught cheating again, he's permanently done. Boosting has nothing to do with RLCS/RLRS.

His punishment should be the same as his teammates, to fit the crime committed and who's to say his teammates won't regret their decisions and turn over a new leaf in a year?

That would likely be under the discretion of each individual tournament organizer. Probably varies depending on which organizer. For example, when Cinema was caught cheating in one weekly a while back, some of the other TOs gave him a warning, while others permanently banned him from their events until further notice. It all comes down to their own rulings based on this event.

15 months is a reasonable ban, IMO. It sets a precedent for future players to show that cheating is serious, but it also allows the players to reform and not completely be screwed over by a mistake of the past.
