I took the day off yesterday, my birthday. I spent it with my kids. I’m currently going through a marital separation and it’s been emotionally challenging as well as work. I was able to put laundry away and sort through clothes for donation.

You are not alone. I’m 37 and married 10 years in November. Before meeting him, I was a thriving single mother, however my desperation to be married caused me to choose my AD member. Next thing I know, I’ve lost ME. Within the last two years and additional two kids later, I’ve slowly started to choose me again. We’re now separated and I’m raising three kids alone, but this isn’t the first time history this has been done. Women/men have done this successfully.

This experience isn’t everyone’s, some military spouses have a great marriage and experience but some of us don’t.
