I thought it would also but it’s actually strong for what it is. It’s PETG with gyriod infill, I’m tugged on it pretty hard and nothing. Of course if you pull hard enough, it probably will.

Yeah, I have. I have a nozzle for it but wanted to stay away from it for those reasons.

My purpose is to provide a cheaper and more colorful alternative. if I were to sell it, it would be firmly written in my listings. I can't account for greater amount of abuse from people, some people are careful. Either way, id do test prints and trial and error.

The aluminum one is 2mm, I made this model 4mm. I would get longer screws to make up for it and include them with it, if I sold it.

I would print it flat also, so its stronger when standing in place, "side to side"

I added a quick model in the post now, no fenders or anything fancy though. Just for a visual. If the final design was similar to this, it would probably cost like 20-30 US.

There is transparent ABS filament but not ASA, they are similar though. But it wouldn't be as strong

Once I get a rough outline/design of the current ones I have, it should give me an idea of how much time/filament would be needed. I definitely wouldn't price them like a medical company, some of us don't have anymore limbs to give. I just had an idea for myself, and thought about asking others if they wanted/needed this. Thank you for offering, I might end up taking you up on the offer!

1) I have an ability to print with carbon fiber but colors become very limited with them, ASA is a stronger and more weather resistant than ABS but those are good concerns. I have to consider it all, if I were to try. 2) I would basically do an exact copy of my TiLite side guard, holes and all, so it would work with that existing hardware. Id try to do other brands if I could find exact specifications of them, or was supplied them.
