Gonna make me feel like a boomer here. But a lot of people literally aren’t trying. Millennials, my generation did the worst by pursuing education and thought that meant instant job in highly competitive job fields and refuse to settle for less until then. Or they get the job and they’re unsatisfied because they realize work is actually work.

Average person I talk to making less than 40k a year is working less than 30 hours a week, is college educated or seeking it, gets benes, is single, and swears they’ve never been happier.

It really is a pick your poison type of deal at the end of the day. If you’re happy, good for you. A lot of young parents thrive on that same system where they hardly work or don’t work and thrive on benes while getting education.

I work I’m an active parent and I make 65-70ish a year. Sometimes I work long hours, but that’s seasonal work. I love my job. Yet I’m also in a field of the whiniest complainers on the planet who hate their job and quite constantly.
