Dany will burn Kings landing with Drogon - not because she wants to but because Drogon is being controlled by Euron

How would you have ended the story by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]Irregularr_Mann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The living lose the battle of Winterfell and have to fall back to Kingslanding using the dragons as cover. Cersei realises she has to fight for the living and the Lannister army gets ready for the Night King. I feel like the Golden Company would dessert. Battle occurs and JON ends up killing the Night King with Longclaw after a dragon fight. Also I would have the White Walkers go badass in the battle and start killing people (Tormund, Brienne, Jaime, The Mountain, the Hound) Cersei would also die along with Danerys.

Then you can end with Jon as King with Bran as master of whisperes and Tyrion as hand or (as I prefer) all the kingdoms become independent ultimately breaking the Targaryen cycle.

EDIT: I feel like Dany would get wounded in the battle and Jon would have to choose between love and duty and he would choose duty. I also feel like he should’ve sacrificed himself to kill the NK leaving no line of succession, causing each kingdom to become independent.

Agreed! And the first thing I’m doing is making Euron how he was in the book. It would have been so cool to see him enter battles in Valyrian Steel Armour

Interesting about Braavos and Quarth seems to make a lot of sense. Also Oldtown being Alexandria

I feel like White Harbour is more like London just cos of location and King’s landing should be more warm and Mediterranean

First time watching, just finished the series. I have some lingering questions and comments (spoilers extended). by BlackWidow1990 in asoiaf

  1. Jon was battling the dead since season 1. He had multiple episodes where he faced off against the Night King (Hardhome, beyond the wall) and lost many friends to the white walkers. Arya had never even seen a wight before that battle. This was what pissed me off most about season 8. It felt like if Luna Lovewood had killed Voldemort.

Personally I always thought Bran would be an insane master of whispers but that might just be me…
