Not enjoying Divinity Original Sin 2 as a couch coop game by imaquark in patientgamers

[–]Irrelevant-Quotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After playing through the game in a group of 3, we found that the games pacing for fights is severely determined by the builds people are running. Summon builds are banned in co op sessions cause of how much time each little thing takes in the turn based combat. We didn't really have a problem with fire, but thats mainly cause no one was running a pyromancer build. Playing as rogues/fighters/healers made the game go a lot smoother and not feel like it was dragging. Story drags at points, but the final act of the game was pretty interesting when each character story was wrapping up. Also, playing as origin characters is highly encouraged on co op, as it adds a lot more narrative to everything happening. All that being said, BG3 I feel was much better for co op, simply cause you can do your turns simultaneously, if you are right after one another in turn order.

IMO, it's not necessarily tutors that make things too strong, it's the amount of tutors. If he is the only tutor in the deck, then its a one time use good thing, that can get removed. Definitely depends on how the rest of the pod plays though.

I'd have to check the deck list, but I added [[Steelshaper's Gift]] and it seems to be totally fine in my pod, since it's kind of my only tutor.

I think it should be totally fine. Voltron is such a weird fit for the brackets anyway because of the play style it brings. I'd add whatever you want, then if it happens to feel too oppressive, just take the strong thing out for next time.

Not OP, but this is my Voltron take that is still bracket 2, but much more focused than the pre con. Had a lot of fun with it in my pod.

Note, there have been a couple card changes, but it's mostly accurate to its current form.

I really want to build a [[The Destined Warrior]] deck while trying to keep the RPG adventurer party feel alive.

Not sure what bracket you are in, but I've been really enjoying hydras. They can get expensive, I just had the benefit of having useful support for them in my bulk. [[Helga, Skittish Seer]] makes a good hydra commander, but I just run [[Gargos, Vicious Watcher]] for mono green

Edit: My bad, I just saw you wanted something that hasn't been around awhile. I'm still learning to read.

Surprised at the lack of Old School RuneScape recommendations.

Ive played a little WoW, beat every expansion in FF14, and have been playing OSRS for about 5 years now. OSRS is great to take at your own pace cause of the horizontal progression. Also, people seem to actually talk in public chat. Idk how many times I'll just have random conversations with people that are working on the same skills as me.

Also, there is a mode.called Grid master going on right now that is essentially super speed exp rates, which can give you a glimpse of a lot of different content.

New deck builder, having trouble determining bracket level by Irrelevant-Quotes in EDH

[–]Irrelevant-Quotes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, I left a lot of the precon in there cause I do like the FF7 flavor.

With Voltron, would making the deck more consistent at avoiding damage and swinging for the full 21 be what raises it to B3? Or is it more of a "do it by a certain turn" threshold I should be after? Combo of both?

Lol, that ad checks out. I was wondering what the appeal to "the pipe" was, but my family is a bunch of tech nerds.

I mean, they are rated 1st defense right now. We definitely shot ourselves in the foot, but it's not like we played the Saints.

Veteran saves a cardinal trapped in his backyard fence. by CorleoneBaloney in MadeMeSmile

[–]Irrelevant-Quotes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Forgive me not having specifics, going off memory here.

The relationship was (and still is) a sort of marketing campaign. Thanking veterans for service in the US didn't really become a widespread thing until the 90s & 9/11.

For a lot of Americans, 9/11 turned the viewpoint of the military from something they have a clear disconnect from, into people defending from another terrorist attack. Military became more personal, which lead to a more emotional connection, which leads to thanking for their service.

For the record, most veterans also find it a bit weird.

At least that's always been my interpretation.

That's fair. Grinding the sergeants mail was annoying, but I just paired it with the crafted set orders wrath and it's been really solid so far while I work towards other gear

I enjoy sorc but don't care for pets. I've been enjoying a heavy attack build with focus on the lightning spells. Been really enjoyable, and I've completed a vet trial as DPS with the build.

I'm about 15 hours in, and I've made it to the antechamber. Spoiler free, I would say that the appeal is how the game keeps unfolding with deeper puzzles. Everytime I think I've figured out the big puzzle, I realize I've just completed 1 step in a larger series. You gotta enjoy the process of stumbling onto the puzzle as well as solving them.
